  1. Haha that made me laugh. How can anybody want to pay 1,200 for a silly game console? I'm speechless... People will buy anything...
  2. Selectbikes and Tartybikes - according to echobike.com
  3. Might help a bit As far as power goes the Avid is great, don't know about the reliability of it. A Hayes Mag with proper pads will be very powerful.
  4. Skoda Felicia - easy to drive MGA 1600 - superb car, feels like a trials bike with a 200e.p. hub, thin grips and hard tyres, allows you to feel the road perfectly 911 Turbo - awful gearbox, too much power, grotty interior Fiat Siena - sloppy Honda CRX - very difficult clutch, lovely engine sound especially at very high revs, good to drive Like most: Honda or MG, can't say. Probably the Honda if it had it's clutch adjusted.
  5. On videos it must be Rowan's riding but then I've been up in Derby, rode with Neil and seen how incredibly smooth he is. So I guess the opinion can only be based on videos unless you've ridden with all these riders. edit: Add a group called Matts. This would include Arkwright, Staples and maybe Partz.
  6. But in a mod you can't get a perfect chain tension, so a freehub will never feel as good as a freewheel.
  7. but you've come back home on your own...
  8. Had the same thing happen to me a while ago. The thing you might want to consider is if you leave her, how will you react when you see her with another guy. I got a bit bored with my ex, didn't meet up with her that often and everything started falling apart slowly, but I really started to care when she wrote to me that she's got a new boyfriend. If you want to be with this woman then go for it and in the meantime slowly start ignoring your girlfriend. Don't tell her it's over, just behave as if it was. Much easier for her and for you. And one other thing. We're all young - no matter if you're 13 or 22 this is an age when you should get your balls to work hard. When you're 30 you might want to think seriously about another woman but not now. Just play around - it's now or never.

    Monty

Ah yes, Monty... Had 3. One broke because I had no booster. In the other frame, the seat tube detached itself from the bb. And in my Ti, there's a tiny crack on the chainstay. One thing is certain - these frames are weak. But if you learn to appreciate them and love them, you'll just weld the cracks and carry on riding. I must say that the Ti rides like nothing I've ever had (apart from a stock bike) and it's definitely worth having even if you have to weld it from time to time. My mate had lots of Montys in his life. He rode the black&white one (231 '01 maybe?) for a few years and it never cracked. He's a smooth rider but considering he was at one stage vice world champion, he wasn't giving these frames an easy time either.
  10. I think it's pretty much going in the direction Ali C mentioned. The materials shouldn't change either - carbon fibre is the last thing you want to use in trials, titanium is expensive and will remain expensive. So it'll either be a very strong and light grade of steel, or aluminium. Geometry can't change that much either, if anything we'll be able to buy frames with almost any geometry we want. If the sport becomes more popular there will be a greater demand for all sorts of frame geometry. At the moment it's a bit of a joke really - you can't buy what you want - last year the low-bb lover had a very limited choice of Deng frames, now it's the other way round. That's not how it should be, and that must change. I'm not talking about Koxx/Monty here, these frames are just a joke - frightfully expensive and weak as fook. I also think that the single tube design is not good. It's a good thing to have something between your legs you can feel when riding. Can't really explain why, but if I were given the chance to change my frame to a single tube design, retain the geometry and durability I'd turn the offer down. Maybe it would be ok with mods, the GU's are so low that you could almost call it 'single tube height'. CNC should be limited. There are certain areas which it's very good to use CNC for, like the bb, dropout and integrated booster, but a CNC head tube is not really the way to go. Might look cool and so on but hey, that's not what trials is about. edit: I know! Durable disc mounts!!
  11. ...with new sitckers to make people think Neil rides 2006 model Very nice bike but why are your brake levers paralell to the ground?
  12. That's exactly what my dad said (he's an engineer) but on the other hand I read in a post Mr. Read made, that silicone grease is the best thing to use. So I either trust somebody who has practical knowledge on this very subject, or people who think it's unwise for a reason I do not understand. Looks like I've got rid of the problem when I fled with rage and started pressing the lever with all my might. CLOSED SYSTEMS ***.
  13. Mint! You've got a great and neat style, makes me want to ride mod again How come the trees are still green? You live above me = should already have snow and a huge glacier by your front door
  14. I think I'll have to. Should I use the address info@hopetechnology.com? I've now lubed the piston with another type of grease and it's working well, there's only one problem. The piston moves so easily that it won't adjust to the disc. When I press the lever, it should bring the pads near the disc and then suck up fluid from the resevoir to auto-adjust. It doesn't do that any more.
  15. Found a few solutions to my problem but they only work in the short run (20 minutes of riding), then the problem comes back. The left piston (from the riding position, looking at the brake) is seized and doesn't move at all. The right piston moves, but only towards the disc. So when I press the brake lever a few times, both the pistons seize on the disc and it's a real challenge to take the caliper off the disc. The seizure is so strong that it's almost impossible to move the wheel with your hands. I've tried changing the brake fluid, using WD40 on the piston and lubing it with something I think is silicone grease, and it only helps briefly. Any ideas?
  16. So that's how Tartybikes looks like? Nice bike, Adamants rock!
  17. Listen to Bigman, he's right. A front caliper used on the rear will only work for a 20mm smaller disc. The lever I bought from you Pete, was to change my rear brake into a front one. Now I'm running a 180mm rotor without any adaptors. But when I had that brake on the rear, I used the same rotor AND a +20mm adaptor. edit: one other thing, you can design a frame to take the same disc size on the front as on the rear with the same caliper but that's not an international standard. So I guess your frame is just different.
  18. Smoked it a few times but it doesn't seem to work for me. It just made me laugh a bit more and that's about it. Guess I'd smoke it again if I had the chance (for free of course), would never pay for it though.
  19. Just do a search, there have been thousands of topics like this, I've replied in at least 3 throughout the past week. Getting a bit tedious eh?
  20. Just wondering what you people would do Two twin sisters, both pretty but one prettier than the other. Spent lots of time with one of them just because I was late for the party and didn't get the chance to sit between them - somebody beat me to it. I spent a very nice night with her (#1) but in the morning I realized that her sister (#2) is much prettier and not as tall, and that I'd rather go out with her. This isn't as easy as it may sound because I've already met up with #1 several times and I think she wants to be with me, so it'd be rude if I suddenly dated with #2. How?
  21. Greetings

Word. Men need rooms which they can happily destroy. One in which a greasy carpet is about the cleanest thing in sight. Cheap and disposable furniture is key... I've spent hours explaining to my mum that I don't want a posh wardrobe or shelves because I'll burn a hole in them in no time, forgetting to switch a soldiering ion off or something similar. My room (not bedroom, I only sleep there) has very crude furniture so as to make life easier. Couldn't care less if something gets burnt/dirty/etc. I've got a carpet in my room though, but if it gets dirty I just get another carpet and cover the patch with it.
  22. Sooo envious! I'd love to ride with him...
  23. It's only got 240kb? Re-upload it
  24. My god that's true. If I didn't break up with my gf, I'd still be riding mod. On balance I'm much happier on a stock bike than I would be with my ex on a mod. So: stock - sex > mod + sex
