  1. Can't vote because I haven't ridden the Ninja. Got a A1 though, this is how I feel about it: Awful for gaps at first, when you get used to it, it's as good as any other frameGood-ish for taps, which means you will have no problems with tapping but will no doubt tap higher on a low bb frameVery easy to go to front wheel, if it's a pedal-up or gap to frontNot too good for wheelswaps, at least I find it much more difficult than on a PureDead easy hooks!!Dead easy sidehopsGreat rear wheel controlUseless for comps because there is so much ground clearance that you can't land on the rockringAll the obstacles seem lower (didn't believe it after reading something similar on tartybikes but now I do!)
  2. Some of you are missing one thing - the possibility to adjust the height of the seat. It only takes a few seconds. Maybe I haven't explained things too well. Wanting a trialsy bike which I can use for other purposes like having fun in a skatepark not only doing things one would on a trials bike but taking it to a new level. Obviously barspins are just an example - if you can pinch the seat, you can also do no-hander fufanus, etc. There are loads of combos. I also believe there are no limits to what can be done on a bike. It's skills that matter - these can be learned. It might be harder with one setup than with another but it's the fun of learning a move and doing it perfectly that matters. Thanks for the replies, they have certainly explained quite a few questions and gave me more things to think about. If you have any other ideas please post them Sorry if my english is particularily bad today, I'm very drowsy...
  3. I sense some people might get banned for what they've put up in this thread... Doesn't bother me though.
  4. Bouncy bouncy bouncy mr Rabbit. Sad music

My huge bedroom. Note how narrow this lense is. I'm standing 30m from my bed. This is what I see every morning. A door 30m away and the wardrobe which I spend lots of time in (that's where I keep my PC and bikes). Here you can observe a window and some cacti.

My bedroom's got yellow walls, a bed and small empty wardrobe in it (the bed is narrow, so we do it in the wardrobe). There's also a nice 17 year old picture of me naked, yellow curtains and a few cacti. Will post pics tomorrow.
  7. Um that makes sense... never thought about it Need to put it to the test, maybe borrow a post and saddle from a friend and see how it feels.
  8. I'm building up a street/trials bike on my Pure and will be needing a seatpost and saddle. I'd need something light and fairly wide, which I can do barspins on - but also one that won't get in the way with basic trials moves like sidehops. What would you recommend? I'd rather not pay more than 50 quid although that's already pushing it.
  9. I was expecting him to go 130 to rear wheel, thought he could do more than that? Still, it is a lot.
  10. I ran dual disc for about a year, on a Python, GU and then a Monty. No way something like that will hold up with all these silly drop gaps people do. Besides, your wheel will break to bits before even the frame is affected. You'll need VERY strong spokes if you want to run dual disc and go big. It probably depends what "going big" means by your standards?
  11. Hard decision really, I'd go for a Control long because I've ridden it quite a few times and it's a great bike.
  12. The stem isn't but look how much spacers he has under the stem.
  13. Well, if you like it why change to the old one? All I can say is that a high-bb frame does feel odd even with a high stem. It's about the wheels being "under" you, not as much about the body position. Obviously once you get used to one, it just feels like an ordinary bike but at first I remember having to look at the pedals when getting onto it because they were just so high up. I'd say a low bb frame with a low stem feels better than a high-bb frame with a high stem. Low bb's are incredible for taps and gaps.
  14. That was nice, makes me not want to sell mine Wrong music though.
  15. Don't really know why, but that's one of the best vids I've seen recently. Maybe it's the creative riding and music.. can't tell. Inspiring...
  16. Utter bollocks. If you head over to the other Vitals section you can easily spot it's a loop. So are all the other tabs. Besides, would the guy walk around with an ultrasound scanner attatched to his tummy?
  17. It's exactly the same as the 2004 Control so you might want to ask about that frame - more people will be able to give you an answer.
  18. Way easier on a stock. I've ridden mod for ages and when i switched to stock, I could do this technique about 6" higher. What max-t has wrote is 100% true.

Nice riding! Liking the spins and manuals, reminds me of Ryan Leech
  20. Pussies! Winters in the UK are so warm you can ride with your fireman exposed. I think you get more tired in the winter because you have to ride non-stop to maintain a high body temperature. I find that the only problem is my hands, the fingers get cold and stiff which makes barking more difficult. Maybe just eat 2 ounces of butter before you go riding? The thought of throwing up should keep your mind off things like cold.
  21. a Pure 2004. PM's have been invented for a reason you know
  22. Nice. I always thought of Desmond Lee as one of those chaps you wouldn't like to meet at night walking down the road. Both very good riders.
  23. Depends on what frame you're going to use it with obviously I used it with a short A1 and it was ok, then changed to a HiFi low and it was even better. Gaps to front wheel were easier, so were taps and sidehops. The HiFi high is alright but the bars are at a crazy height.
