  1. maybe a question then what's the angle and length of that stem? and are you riding a long or short?
  2. I'd agree with brake drag, spongy brakes, loose chain, thick grips etc. My bike always needs to be a direct extension of my body, so everything has to be spot on. Otherwise I feel as if I was sitting on a cow and holding it by it's ears. I couldn't care less about how my bike looks while I'm riding. As long as it works perfectly all is well. But when you come back from a ride, sit down on the sofa and look at your bike... well, that's something completely different
  3. Natural, it's far more creative. Got about 200 miles to the nearest spot.
  4. Greetings

    Mod Frames

Triton is somewhat asian Has a disc mount too Modulo?
  5. One of the nicest bikes I've seen
  6. I guess it could be Tomm? We'd have an integrated TomTomm moderating team.
  7. seeing as everybody's posting pics of their own bikes, here's my stock: And my old ride, seems to have been posted already :
  8. Don't do it. All there hubs are cheap crap which is a budget solution to those riders who need a strong hub in terms of bearings but couldn't care less about the freewheel (ie. freeriders). I had a few hubs which were almost identical to the Novatec (these have many clones) and they were useless. Obviously with 4 bearings there was no play what so ever even after a long period of time, but the hub would skip notoriously. You can also buy a 48ep 6 pawl hubs with a 10mm through-axle but under the name of Reborn Bloodlines, Novatec, Prodigy etc. They sound super loud, engage quickly but in trials they won't last more than a few days. Fact. You'll do best to buy another Silent Clutch, they really are great hubs for how much they cost, in addition to that you get almost instant engagement. If you want to make it more reliable, you should slide a tight thick ring onto the drive shell. After all, these hubs only skip once and that's when the drive shell cracks. This will stop it from doing so.
  9. Why? So he starts doing what 90% of the forum members do and become anonymous? Was a nice vid, looking forward to your next one.
  10. I think that without religion the world would be a better place. Recently the pope quoted something which made the muslims go manic. Firstly they treated what he had said as his personal opinion although he was simply quoting a book, then they demanded apologies and started threatening with jihad if these wouldn't come. When the apologies came, the muslims said it wasn't enough, demanded more and continued talking about jihad. These guys are asking for trouble, they're complete idiots. No wonder people with such mentality are more often than not the source of terrorism.
  11. Loving this pic, the flash, sharpness, colours and composition. Just perfect as are most of the other photos.
  12. 1st to comment Huge moves while still keeping them smooth. Amazing
  13. That was fun to watch But as Craig wrote, it was a bit repetitive at times. A video doesn't have to be long so there's no need of using the same clip a few times
  14. Dunno which one, I think at the end it said something about not being as silly as you and wearing a helmet Seriously, I was far more impressed by you not tucking those 7 pallets, than by seeing somebody else tuck something a bit higher. We need variety, at the moment everybody's landing next to their bike and not above it
  15. From what I've seen on your vids, you don't need to tuck I do it to front wheel looks gay but works ok I guess.
  16. That's all very logical, but is it really the case? I don't know how Todge rides, but ie. CLS must put more stress on his hub than Todge? This could also be the fault of a bad wheelbuild, and the spoke tension and drive spokes being all wrong. But if you're right, this should not be the problem as my BMX hub has an ISO Disc shell. Another thing I though of when I read your post was gaps. When you gap, the chain pulls the hub towards the bb. Normally the chainring is very close to the frame so there is less leverage. But when there are lots of spacers, there is much more leverage as the chainring is far away from the frame. Looks like it's not a good idea at all.
  17. Got the new Tensiles, they're great. Not too stiff but strong and very light. Middleburns are without doubt the best, you also get a good guarantee. Adamant look great, much better than in pics. Wouldn't trust Deng stuff though. edit: Jake, you're the 4th person on this forum to have ever used the word "perplexed".
  18. Quite enjoyed that Keep up the good riding!
  19. True, there's a limited amount of movement. But it's normally enough to get the screw loose enough to unscrew with other tools.
  20. What are the risks of running 110mm spaced hubs on stock bikes? I've heard a few people snapped their Profiles on the hub body Obviously I'd fit the hub using long screws and accurately made spacers to insure the hub is secure. It's a BMX King btw. What do you think?
  21. Undo the remaining bolts. You should be able to pivot the disc on the damaged screw. The screw should turn with the disc, so pivot it anti-clockwise (if the screw turns with the disc, it will unscrew), then back to it's original position but holding the screw so it doesn't screw back in. Repeat a few times. It worked for me when I had a super glued rounded off bolt. Hope you get what I mean though...
  22. Don't quite know what you're talking about but take into account that no rim is perfectly balanced because of the valve hole and valve, and the place where the rim is bonded. This will make the hub make different noises when spinning because it stresses the bearings and spokes, and the sound spreads with a different frequency. Nothing wrong with it
  23. Haha lucky you Had the same problem, but when the steerer cracked I thought there was play in the headset to I tightened it only to make the crack larger. Then decided to tap. The stack is on one of T33zrs auch vids edit: had to post this...
