  1. Popularity must be the key. Over here the sport isn't that popular and it's much easier to find a sponsor. These aren't people who sell trials gear but companies like RedBull, Volkswagen etc. But then, they want you to be popular and open towards people, not as much to be a top rider. Obviously comps are a good way of promoting a company, but as you ride mainly on the street, they want you to attract peoples attention.
  2. Read his review, he says that when cut down they're stiff but he wouldn't recommend hooking, and that the crown is weak. That's why I'm questioning the Ti forks as titanium is bound to be stronger than aluminium or magnesium
  3. I have searched but the topics I found about these forks didn't give me enough information. So, I'd like to know if these forks will be ok for hooks, wheelswaps and taps, and to be run on a 180mm Hope Trials. I've read in one of the topics that the disc tabs brake off, but now there's a Ti version of the fork so it should be stronger? Obviously I'd have them cut down to 400mm beforehand so the leverage would be smaller, and the riding position better.
  4. Yeah but Biff's got trials skills, editing skills, lumberjack skills, bow hunting skills...
  5. Or ZOO stickers in Adamant, Echo, GU, Czar fonts and in a variety of colours? (anodized of course) edit: non-anodized parts?
  6. Cool. You no longer get tired from walking down a hill.
  7. sent will you then foward it to tartybikes so they give us discounts?
  8. Not as nice to be a bicycle shop and have to stock 6x more parts just because they're in different colours But then, who cares
  9. Obviously not. But generally speaking isn't that's the case? You don't see that many drop gaps on other videos ie. from France, Norway, Canada, USA, Germany etc. and most of us can only judge how people ride by what's on the videos they release.
  10. 1. Spray rim with water 2. Ride for about 30 seconds while braking Then, spray more water onto the rim and it will look like this: Repeat, then dry with a cloth.
  11. It looks like it's going to be out in a month or two, Rafal is taking his time to make the video as good as possible.
  12. Two stills from a vid. My back is kind of strange on the 2nd one [attachmentid=7165][attachmentid=7166]
  13. Just saw this and thought it'd be fun to start a thread were we could post our ideas of pointless and flashy bicycle gear Try and be descriptive, as on ie tartybikes web. My suggestion: New brake pads from Czar: -Invisible compound and backings for maximum visibility while running a Magura rim brake on the front wheel -Invisible green compound to be used with ground rims -Invisible red compound to be used with smooth rims etc.
  14. The riding was very good and neat, the music wasn't to my taste though. Good stuff, keep it up
  15. It's really not difficult, you should be more than able to build it all by yourself. It just takes a bit of care. While we're at it, can somebody explain why the Tartybikes wheelbuilds are so splendid? Or is it that it's the only place in the UK you can get a proper wheelbuild?
  16. The top tube is done in such a way for greater durability The frame is cool, would be great to see an A1 and A3 built up on the same parts standing side by side.
  17. Some girls are just so stupid. Thanks to my mates and some people on this forum, I've completely come to terms with my gf braking up with me and I now make fun of it. Started uni again today and I met my ex's best friend who I like very much. We spoke a bit about what happened and she was like "it's all your fault, Martha did well to brake up with you etc." which really pissed me off and I felt like a 10 year old being told off by a headmaster. Well, I didn't expect any other reaction to be honest, but it's just so stupid that she couldn't care less about getting the facts straight. Other than that, there are loads of super pretty girls on my year so I've better get to work. I'm going out with one today, she's kind of nice, super fit and very pretty, but too small and has blonde hair And on Sunday I'm off to another girl to cook dinner and go to a party. Looking good.
  18. My ex cheated on me after 2,5 years and the day I got to know it was one of the worst days in my life. I could never do it. While working at Wimbledon this year I had various girls asking me to spend the night with them. My answer was always no regardless how pretty and fit they were. Ok, it'd be enjoyable and so on, but next day you wake up with the thought that from now on you'll have to lie to your gf every time she asks you if you love her (you can't cheat and love somebody at the same time imo). Never cheated, and never going to.
  19. Not usually, but often. For example in drag racing, drivers very often just walk away if they are capable of leaving the "cockpit". And we're talking of similar speeds here. Still it's a shock to hear what has happened to Hammond. I can bet my boots that he'll be back in the program as soon as he's ok. And as far as the word stable is concerned - it only means that his life is not at risk.
  20. Looks awesome Low long and wide, just as it should be.
  21. It's understandable that most of you do loads of dropgaps and therefore need strong tubes, but from my experience any old tube will do. The tire is thick and fat enough to eliminate all snakebites if you're not riding like the British.
