  1. I think Le is going to hit the roof when he sees this. He was already paranoid about my friend making CNC backed pads which looked almost nothing like his and kept sending him strongly worded letters.
  2. Have you actually sat down with your parents and discussed this? Surely if they know how this is affecting your life they'll support you?
  3. What does organic actually mean? Are they made out of rotted vegetables or some other type of compost? But yeah, it seems organic give more stopping power, metalic are better for downhill and related sports.
  4. In all fairness, Prawn's car is a track car. You judge those completely differently. To me personally, this is one of the most beautiful cars I've seen on the events I take part in. It's just the essence of a track car, completely devastated on the outside but perfect under the shell. However, if I saw someone driving around in something like that on the road, I'd think there's something wrong with him. I'm not saying that your exhaust makes the car look like the one above, just that in my mind comparing your car to Prawns is a fail. Personally, I found his car most appealing just after he had that unfortunate accident at the Ring. That said, I don't give a shit about your exhaust sticking out and I'm really surprised that someone could be bothered to feel offended by it.
  5. That's a good idea actually, Dan could optimise my printer so the f**king b*****d actually works. I don't understand why it has to make noises for 2 minutes before it starts to print. I don't think it's possible to hate something more than a printer. I've found that a good way to keep it in one piece is using one that doesn't belong to you.
  6. My toaster also has various buttons and knobs, some of which you've mentioned. But you need a PhD to be able to use them all with success. I hate toasters.
  7. The toaster is a good idea. I also find it annoying. Furthermore, you need to tune the knob to how much bread there is inside. The less there is, the more burnt it'll be. I think an optimised toaster should take into account whether it's cold or hot and how much bread there is inside. Perhaps also judge the temperature of the bread, if it's frozen, it should be defrosted first. A simple infrared sensor will do the trick. However, such a solution would require replacing the timer with a knob where you set how well done you want the toasts to be. So say a scale of 1-5, where 5 would be severely burnt and 3 would be light brown? Also, what about a fan for cooling toasts? I love toasts with Marmite but I always feel that there should be a layer of butter between the Marmite and toast. The butter mustn't dissolve, else the Marmite will be incorrectly spread and taste funny. It's really annoying how after making toasts I have to put them into the fridge for about 5 minutes before applying butter. A fan would be a lot better.
  8. From my experience, if you get involved in a relationship because you think the girl is hot, you're probably more inclined to pick holes later on unless all you're interested in is shagging. On the other hand, if you start going out chiefly because you find a girl challenging and fun, you're going to find her more attractive once you fall for her. This is where clouded judgement comes in. I distinctly remember being completely neutral about my gf's appearance when we first met, now I think she's pretty hot. She hasn't changed much, it's my judgement that has.
  9. That's Trials Chat, I think we're fine in here With regard to the edit, I feel the same. Certainly don't find my ex gf's as attractive as when we were in a relationship. It's funny weird how often that comes up in here. Nah, I didn't say she's ugly, just perhaps not my type.
  10. How can you drive around without an MOT?
  11. Clouded judgement, I've found that after falling for a girl I'd find her a lot more attractive than before. Surely not alone on this one? There are weirder places than TF to do so, so in the interest of science... meh.
  12. I think this most accurately describes how I'm feeling now. Just not ready. Perhaps she's not exactly my type in terms of looks. I think she's attractive, but it's pretty difficult to judge the looks of your own gf. To the above posters, I don't see this relationship as something I've settled for. I'd happily spend the rest of my life with this girl. Perhaps, because I've realised recently that this might happen, I'm starting to panic a bit? Getting to grip with what I'm sacrificing maybe... I don't know.
  13. Yeah, that seems bang on. When I was single I longed for a relationship. Now that the feeling of security has sunk in, I long for some of the benefits of being single. Still feel stuck, god knows how long it'll be before I poke someone else This attitude probably makes me sound really primitive, but let's be frank - we're men and we have urges.
  14. Got a problem but with myself. I've recently understood that the relationship I'm in could last for a very long time. I'm very happy but I can't help thinking that this has happened too soon, I still want to poke some other females before I settle down Been trying to convince the gf to have a threesome and she's kind of agreed but to be honest I can't see it happening. Solutions? Breaking up with her is the last thing I want to do, as is cheating. Could it be a case of wanting to do something only because it's "forbidden"? Anyone else on here experienced the same temptations?
  15. In terms of work, I want to have a few independent sources of income. Currently running my 1st business, slowly looking into the property market, renting of farm and building land, and in the next 5-10 years turning the house I live in into a wedding house or whatever you call it. It's going to be a big project, at the moment I'm just looking into the market and getting involved in matters concerning the house, ownership (split between 3 people) and general management. Trying to understand what goes on around here isn't that easy, my family used to own the entire village and about 800ha of land which was all taken away when the Germans stepped in. Now we have pre-emptive rights to a lot of the above and one really just needs to figure out what to do and how so the outcome is as profitable as possible.
  16. It sounds to me like you've made up your mind already. The way I see it is that you want to enjoy the Focus but you don't enjoy it. This can be a problem because it could get you stuck with a car you'll hope to get along with but in the long run, you'll just get mildly frustrated and wonder what could have been if you chose something else. If I were you, I'd probably go for the RB Subaru.
  17. It doesn't really matter how long Echo's warranty is. If the shop states that it is 6 months, that's all your concerned about. And I'm sure your chances of getting a new frame are no less in the second 3 month period than in the first, so long as you're dealing with a reliable retailer which you are. None the less, I revert to my statement about the chain damage having an influence on this. I'm an Echo dealer too and I think Tarty are being more than fair with the 50% discount. You're being given the chance to repair the damage you've caused for half the price of a new frame, rather than the full amount. They on the other hand are covering the cracked head tube.
  18. They do loose - Echo gives 3 month warranty on their frames. Whatever happens between the 3rd and 6th month of use has to be covered by the shop. Sometimes if something really strange happens, Echo might offer a discount on a new frame. However, in your case nothing "really strange" has happened. I can sort of understand where Tarty are coming from and I'd probably do the same. The problem is that you have severely damaged the chainstay yourself, and the fact that the frame cracked elsewhere does not entitle you to a brand new product, free of the serious damage you have caused.
  19. Nozzles: The ones under the bonnet don't need to point directly at places where the fire can occur. PSS installed it, they praised the Lifeline system over the equivalent Sparco, apparently easier to install. Not sure what exactly they meant. Also, finally got current pics of my (hopefully) next car in white. Good friend is going to be selling it in the spring, got first dibs on it. F20C, one owner for the last 4 years, car very well maintained, used only 1 year on trackdays. Buddyclub RSD shocks, XYZ 6-pot brakes and a few other small mods.
  20. Enjoy riding again, although I'm not sure if that's an accomplishment? Well, maybe get to the same level of riding as in 2008.
  21. You could always email Deng about this, not sure if you'll get a reply.
  22. Ha! Precision Sport Service, the company that built the car. I gathered that since the car is pretty naked and we're getting along with the owner, some publicity wouldn't hurt.
  23. Yeah, drove it around today and the front wheels are rubbing a bit. Was ok with less camber. Since this thread is a bit dead lately, here are 2 pics of the car taken at night.
  24. Would definitely do it. You never know how long you will live, but if you die of old age then you're just sparing yourself 5 years of not-so-fun life. I'd probably bank 800k and spend the remaining 200k on things I do - business, personal life. Although I'm pretty happy with my current financial situation and I wonder if such money wouldn't spoil me. I work in order to expand my business and so I can afford to have fun. If I can expand my business by investing money that I got, there is no point in working. If I can afford to have fun without working, there is no point in running a business. 2/3rds of my life would become pointless. I'd still accept though.
  25. Was above 0C today so i washed the M3 and clayed the bits which had tyre marks on them. Car is pretty battered, the front bumper is cracked, things are falling off. Also put on the front R1R wheels, apparently they are really good tyres. Always thought they were shit so I haven't used them since building this car. Dropped front end by 2cm, put spacers on but I think they're too wide.
