  1. Ive left mine for a 18 months on the drive with a cover over it. Didnt drain anything out. Ive recently changed the belts/filters etc and it started 1st time with a jump start.
  2. Im on 20-16, by far the best gear ratio i have ridden in so far
  3. I remember when.... The marti/yns rode megamos n were in mbuk doing sidehops. There were no trials specific parts available for 26" I rode a 17" orange clockwork and thought it was small!! Bike 97 at olympia and being amazed at what jez avery could do!! When crud catchers were 1st released! Dirt on vhs and it costing bout 15 quid JMC rip I owned and indeed still do have a Heavy tools trial frame. It lives on lol I stopped riding for a while and just before i stopped the brisa b26 had just been released. Did anyone else go to the bike show live in plymouth?? It was a weekender with xc, 4x dh racing and speed trials!
  4. I used to work for a company that delivered stuff on pallets so they ended up in my van and then home!!
  5. I like the trials scene being small. It gives it an underground feeling almost. If i was actually good enough to benefit from comps etc having large prize money and major press coverage i might have a different outlook, but im not, so i dont!!

    Crazy Bike

Dont think this has been posted on here before. Its basically flatland on an old 26" wheeled bike, click HERE
  7. Cheers fella! I didnt fancy rebuilding the wheel. The tyre is hard enough to remove
  8. Thought that might be the case!
  9. The ratchet in my hope xc is knackered, is there any chance of diy removal or is this a job hope will have to sort out? I have read on previous posts that hope will just replace the shell
  10. Imo there is no right and wrong way to hop! I always go to whichever way feels most comfortable
  11. Mine creak like fook too. I just whip the cranks off n grease the bb taper a little. Ive also got creaking bars, which is slightly more concerning
  12. Song of the moment has to be Gnarls Barkley My all time favourite, its got to be nirvana, smells like teen spirit. Reminds me of a good time in my younger years
  13. The construction industry is in desperate need of apprentices. Theres a national shortage of skilled workers. Ive just started my apprenticeship at british gas.
  14. Mine doesnt stop rolling It goes back round the other way slowly once it slows enough going one way. Ive got a hope pro2 front hub, onza rim n tioga front tyre
  15. I'm running a hog rim with a dying grind and plazzie pads. In the dry, the brake is mint. In the wet, the brake wasnt so great, although it did just about hold me. Id recommend the zoo pads for a smooth rim and either the plazzies or koxx browns on a grind
  16. Is that what was in your bag!!! Sod am i going to bother taking anything then!!! Just going to carry my phone, keys and a bit of cash
  17. There isnt anything wrong with the onza rims. Im running a rear onza hog and its spot on. Had it built up on my old hope xc hub and i havent had to touch it with a spoke key yet (had it 5 months now). Sounds like a nice setup, i did similar to you, got back into riding and bought a longer wheelbase to what i was used to ride riding. Its improved my riding alot
  18. I remember all that shiz but only cos my younger brother was into all that stuff. Im an 80s child myself
  19. Hang your weight back further and practise. U should with some practise be able to pretty much just balance stationary whilst on the rear wheel
  20. I personally think maggies are very good value these days. I remember when they used to be nearly 150quid a set. £30-£40 for a lever doesnt seem unreasonable. Cheaper than buying an entirely new brake
  21. I found i couldnt get enough power out of my front maggie. Swapped to a hope mono trials and its superb, hold my weight easily and is very reliable
  22. Take the time to set the brakes up. I mess around for ages with mine.
  23. Street riding comes across much better in video as its generally less technical riding and more big moves. Therefore, i prefer watching street videos.
