  1. hey y'all i bought ashton effect and i've decided to re-spray it, i tried to strip the paint today; coating the whole ting in wilko's paint stripper at about 3 o clock, i left the frame hanging and checked it just now and only the stickers have been affected by the stripper, any thoughts?
  2. thats a rediculous thing to say, even the smooth and skilled get caught out, and chain snaps f**k us all...

  4. i doubt the 12t sprocket is an issue, i've been riding 16-12 on my pro2 for ages now and i do some huge statics and it's fine...
  5. have you opened it up and had a look inside? if you've got chain wrap, good alignment and i pressume the condition of you chain and sprocket is fair? that kinda puts it all on the hub being the weak http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdgUvv76H28(click for service guide)
  6. use trials gear on your trials bike... since our requirements from drive train performance are so demanding and unique your really best sticking with whats available..

  10. why you so bitching at this guy for posting about his rim, ok he is being a bit presumptous about all the rims being shoddy cause his is, but on the other hand he's guna be wound up when you can't call tarty to sort it, plus it's important that people share the negative side of any operation/product so that they can improve on it in the future...

my friends garage was broken into this morning, an onza blade and a diamondback jump bike with trials pro 2 and dual bb7s. the onza is prety high end build but the frame is cracked, so be warned if it comes your way thanks

  15. takes more time than it would to earn the money for better rims...
  16. theres a few frequent riders in lincoln, i ride there every now and then in the summer when i get chance, theres a lincoln trials rider facebook group you can add to find the locals...

  18. titanium fixings for the magura? nice...
  19. that the one on ebay? if i can ask, how much did it go for in the end cause i was loosely following the auction at the start, beautiful bike... enjoy it! since when has ebay automatically hyperlinked?
  20. isis cranks tend to out last square taper cranks dramatically, mostly the isis interface is way less prone to round off, which can be a problem with cheap square taper cranks, plus the range of isis stuff is way better, i wouldn't consider a bike without isis. don't worry about people saying keep wha you've got, it's an upgrade you'll make at some point in riding, might as well get it over with...

yummy whats the deal with the tensioner on that? looks like decent chain wrap, is it fixed or sprung i can't tell haha
  22. he can't he doesn't have a hanger... you don't get perfect tension, when you spin your cranks the chain will bob up and down, cause the drivetrain isn't perfect, you need to spin the cranks, find the tightest point and then adjust the tension around this point. the tugs on the zoot are aweful, i ruined mine in a week, you need to go to an old bikeshop in the hopes that they sell some big gnarly chain tugs, cause aluminium ones just never seem to cut it
  23. i'd like one, i wonder how they'd fair on a streety 24", could be quite fun runing it singlespeed on the rear and still being able to have a commute and trials gear with most of the clearance of a normal set up, fast and technical riding...
  24. you need a vice to get the end cap bit out... whats your chainline situation? pro2s need good chain wrap to work well, a slack chain or a push down one like this is not your friend. how old are the sprockets/chain, and is the chain line straight?
