    Csc Rim Brakes

there 250g? an echo is 200g, thats prety light man, disc brakes in trials start at 360g, even crazy light XC ones are over 200g, plus a rim brake set up is lighter cause it requires less stuff, i'm not anti-light nor am i a weight weenie, but 200g is nowt, vee's can't be much lighter, an sd7 set up (similar price to a magura) is 260g + cable... not that reducing the hs33 design and skimming moar grams off never hurts but there not exactly weighty brakes atm...
  7. for normal trials get a typical 20' by 120mm stem, better yet, get a streety short high rise stem and have a billion times more fun...
  8. no idea, i try not to read up on training, i'll occasionally hit up youtube to plagiarize some different movements for muscle groups so i don't get to complacent, but being better at cardio will always be a grind of gradual improvement
  9. on a run changing intensity from jog to fast running, and hill sprints seem to be the way to go. but you've trained before you should know that no great theory or workout works unless your committed and push yourself, so just stick at it, time yourself, beat current times, and constantly increase the distance your doing... i'm debating getting a heart rate monitor to see how much i'm pushing myself...
  10. thats far to light, eat like a motherf**ker, if your naturally lean it'll drop off as you curb your eating back to normal once you've acheived your weight/strength gaining goals
  11. i've used discs, vees and maguras on a range of bikes, currently riding rear disc on my 24" and it's a love hate thing, i'll be going back to rear vee when the weathers nice, maybe i'm unlucky and a bit heavier than your average rider but i can often get my disc to slip backwards, frustrating when i'm almost up that wall but theres no chance to "fight" my way up it cause the brake doesn't hold, won't hurt you to try it out though as said. i've used a 203mm disc on the back of a 26" that was prety shit to be honest. it worked but i had no confidence in it
  12. i thought sub 10% was straight out unhealthy and was something reserved for jockeys/similar help to be light sports, and was acheived for short periods of time... i wanna get to about 12%, havent actually found out my current body fat, but my weights been dropping since i started a new routine and diet in september, have gone from 102kg to 96 with no detriment to my strength, although my rate of gaining strength has noticeable reduced compared to when i was a bit porkier in the summer.
  13. one of my traps is noticeably bigger than the other what individual shoulder movements can i make to work the little one harder? or will using fixed bars to balance the weight eventually solve it?
  14. remove the paint from the frame
  15. hail stones yesterday in sheffield, this time last year uni was shut down for snow, madness...
  16. why not go for a zoot? they have disc mounts an i'm very impressed with the quality of mine...

    Other Hobbies

roadying currently a gym monster video games when i don't want to move, and hopefully i'll be moving onto down hill next year
  18. come in the summer! the trials scene tends to die out over winter, plus riding the uk in filthy weather is no fun at all.
  19. worth it at £50, some mid range vee pads like heatsink pads, and fresh brake cables will make the brakes massively better if you can pick up a trials freewheel second hand, not a shity acs claw or whatever is cheap on ebay, and the bike will be plenty reliable, brakes and freewheels are the driving force behind most trials, you can't really notive anything else being better when you learn, only a weight difference, even the nicest most expensive bike will feel odd and difficult when your learning at first, so go for it and have fun.
  20. bearing in mind the pain job on the inspired is prety industrial... i don't think many other frames will have such beefy paint, cause it can add alot of weight, which the 24" boys don't care about.
  21. if you like to be thorough go to any bike shop, halfords will be usefull for this one... and ask for the packing plastic that comes in forks, it's a plastic wedge that goes in the drop out to stop the legs being bent inwards etc...
  22. my protein can i give you a referal code so i win? MP492691 i've just started buying from them, they usually have decent offers on their stuff, and it's all got reviews so you can get what your looking for, try one of their bundles (for like £50 and you get a free shaker and a load of reduced pills, i'm on a weight loss one at the moment and i'm noticing things... might all be placebo, but i'm happy with em. if you join their site and wait a day you will be emailed promotions
  23. do a hundred pressup plan... google them
