there custom made steel frames, google marino bike... if you wait long enough you'll get a bike second hand, i picked up a zoot for £300 in pretty much perfect condition this summer, so you could be lucky, don't be afraid to spend money, investing in a decent bike will save you massively in the long run as trials requires some parts to be a prety decent standard, and that aint cheap...

i was thinking the same, i'd imagine a shorter frame would be a bit flickier and fun, and may ease the transition from riding a zoot to a big bouncy thing, cause even a short is miles bigger than a trials frame (thats a wild assumption so feel free to shoot me down on that) i'm sure i could fix it with a different bar and stem. so excited to get into this! tomm i have sent you a pm, please get back i'm so excited it hurts haha. i'm in the beleif that the last bike i rode was a short cause the owner wasn't much over 5ft and i still enjoyed that bike...

on the subject of fixxies, specialised langsters seem to get a lot of hate but i picked one up in early 2009, i don't own a car it has been my sole means of getting about for the last 3 summer holidays, i did 1000 miles over this summer, i know 1k isn't alot for some roady folk, but it felt like a massive acheivement, the bike has cost me 2 chains and one tyre, i'm in awe of how well it's lasted and how little it's cost me, probably a mix of knowing f**k all about roadies and keeping it as is cause i don't know/care to improve it, and they don't really take a lot of abuse, but yeah in short, big up the langster, mines put up with 100kgs of me for 3 years and it's still good

Midway through pimping the zoot: Final bits, currently on rear disc due to breaking my vee brake inspired white saddle, hope 70*35 stem and 16t middleburn bash : really enjoying the bike, currently debating spraying the rims white, enjoying riding so much on this bike, its awesome, if your debating buying one, there totally worth it!

don't do it, theyre shamefull if you already have a good hobby, they're good for getting kids into riding parks, but once your older than 14, you should be on a bmx instead.

where the wheel is above it's normal profile, tighten those spokes, and loosen the opposing spokes.

maybe loose the rear disc and stick a magura on instead, as for grips, pedals and bb, look at superstar components for some bargains...
