you need to take off more upwards. don't aim your momentum flat across the gap, aim to take off in an upward slope, you pop up and suck the back wheel up to emphasise it. it helps to learn by setting up some low pallets and putting something higher that the pallet in the middle to aim to go over. worked for me

do they look like these? or these? if they look like the former you've got vee mounts and are probably better using a vee brake, if they look like the latter then you have 4 bolt mounts and should invest in some mounts that don't let you have any adjustment like these or or these... otherwise you can modify your existing mounts my filing them down...
