  1. onza tried it and modest riding killed it, also you can't join/break belts, you'd need a hole in the chain stay to put the belt in... want a different gear ratio? you'd need another belt...

    Marino

really like that, i've wanted something similar for a long time, very interested to hear how it rides
  14. where'd you see the sivler one? in my experience avoid the plastic vee boosters that are about they're flexy as hell...
  15. i bought a langster (boo hiss?) and haven't been able to fault it, i was doing 150-200 miles a week over the summer getting around cause i'm car-less, since buying it i've replaced the chain and rear tyre. the components have been fine, really can't fault it for the money. it's a bit out of your budget but i'd say it would be worth a few more quid if you plan on putting the miles in. worth adding i'm not a small guy (102kg?) and i bounced off and onto curbs enough to give the wheels a bit of a test and managed to snap a spoke after 18 months. the rims are fine. they look pretty nifty too.
  16. i did mine like that too
  17. no. cable is will outperform hydraulic at the lower price range ideally you should look to get a bb5 or bb7, there both tried and tested and very popular
  18. try riser bars, i have some black trialtech risers that are only 2 months old

    Tensioner Set-Up

no you turn it anticlockwise, so once the bolts tightened up again you have to turn the arm clockwise to line it up with the mech hanger, then it jacks up the tension
  21. ogre

    Tensioner Set-Up

you need to jack up the tension in the spring, if you loosen off the bolt at the end of the arm, (that clamps the bar the sprung part is attached to) and take out the bolt that holds the tensioner in place, turn the main arm anti-clockwise, and tighten it. que paint diagram: you will need to play with how much you turn the arm, if you turn it too much it'll be to much stretching for the spring and it goes weak. it will reduce chain wobble loads and give you better tension
  22. good memories, makes me miss home mind
