this bad boy! look how big the inserts are, it'll let you get a few more months outa the GU cheaper, lighter alloy version...
  3. not to pry or seem invasive but how much do you have to play with? In no particular order: an 18-12 gear ratio is a good idea and paramount if you intend on upgrading your frame in the future. a more reliable freewheel with higher engagements. better brake pads (on the rear, and the front if your budget will stretch assuming your on rim brakes) burly chain tugs, buy some heavier duty steel ones intended for bmx use. i used to kill light weight alloy ones, i bought hefty bmx ones and never looked back (snail cams if your frame allows it) isis drivetrain lighter forks no need to upgrade your wheels/rims if there rolling and spinning ok. just buying rims to put on your standard hubs is a silly exercise since you'll eventually replace your hubs + need new spokes blah blah... strong braking and a reliable drivetrain is usually all you need when your starting out. upgrade things as they break, buy cheap and you'll suffer the consequences.

    Super Bargain!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SseyFeo92i0 i filmed this with mine, it's not to good without a tripod, but it's easy to budget one in at a silly low price. why do you have to bitch so much mr motivator? if it's not good enough for you, go shell out three figures for something better, but for cheeky amateur videos it's pretty damn awesome.

    Gmp Frames

the geo on them is prety good, throw on some good vee's and pads, a decent freewheel an they'd be rideable, don't spend alot on it though...
  6. do want a custom booster, nothing fancy, 98-102 spacing to suite a vee brake on adapters, doesn't have to be all jazzed and cnc'd i'd rather it uber stiff and abuse proof, i've been paid today so my wage cheque wouldn't clear till friday, but i'm 100% to buying one :D i'd advize you make a few vee boosters since NONE f**kING EXIST! and theres a growing market of ...

  7. lazy ride, most of the things he's riding are so rattly and f**ked you can't really hammer them or they'll snap or pull off the floor, the wall at 45 bends when you land on it noice....
  8. my homeslice edits it all on her mac, haha only uses the stock software that came with it too
  9. and it protects the noodle, i've bent the bit that makes the vee a quick release with my ankle enough times my shitty booster doesn't help with stiffness all that much (but i've got a built in booster..) but it's worth it for the protection.
  10. pushing nearly 5 years, it's not pete, it's wiggy.
  11. ordered some tonight, haha i'm well battered from f**king up brake-less on Friday night

  17. this will help a fair bit?
  18. i rate urbans pretty highly i've only killed one pair i'm almost bigman size if that helps...
  19. adjustable spanner + vice and some beefy chain... wrap the chain round the sprocket so that you miss a link and the chain "jumps" and 2 links stick out. get that in a vice, the links that stick out should stop the sprocket jumping free and spinning, then grind the flanges flat as suggested and get your adjustable on it...
  20. anyone got the photo of ali c beasting his mtb? if you run a pro2 hub wider bars, a longer stem and a sturdy set of cranks you should be ok but youll struggle to go big and master complex moves where a compact frame can help
  21. front vee, smooth rims, heatsink pads
