  1. On Raúl Fernandez bike. Is the tensioner built into the frame? Do I see a bolt hole location on the chainstay for mounting?
  2. I am glad Chris has moved to a stock. He was great on the mod, but it is fun when people mix it up a bit. Super clean looking bike.
  3. The bike looks great. Very nice parts selection. The higher BB looks strange though…almost to high for anyone wanting to ride actual trials on a 24".
  4. I love V brakes & it would be nice to see someone make a new Carbon booster that looks like the old XTR. At the moment I am using a cheap alum Tektro & it does a fine job.
  5. I really like it, but would love it if it didn't have a bunch of modern parts on it. Something old like that just needs a 22t front ring.
  6. I am amazed at how thick that monty steer tube is. Where else is Javi traveling & is anyone getting footage for a video?
  7. One of the nicest out there. Good amount of white without being overwhelming.
  8. I would love to see some pictures and hear more details on the tensioner. Please post! The bike looks great though!
  9. Looks really good. The blue parts don't look the best on there but I love the fork/handlebar setup.
  10. One of the better looking Marino 24s. Just wish it had wide bars.

Hallo! I miss seeing media from you. Keep riding & filming!
  12. My new video: Most of the footage is of Peter, but I have some clips in it too. Peter came up to Hibbing to pay me a visit and we rode a couple of the spots. It was a very fun evening. http://www.vimeo.com/6980857
  13. One of the best Marino 24s I have seen. I am riding my second marino stock. I been riding it for the past 7 months and it is still going strong. Great frames for a great price.
  14. I have tried the backwards mounts with V brakes. I first tried it with a anodized rim with std. mtb pads. There wasn't much lock at all and I didn't like the feel of it. Then I put some MOE V pads on and the lock was much better. The std. pads might have worked if my rim wasn't anodized. Overall the noise was a lot less when comparing to a front mount fork. When I tried the MOE pads on a front mount any modulation made the brake honk with noise which was anoying. Overall I don't know if there is much of a difference in power.
  15. Steve. Thank you for keeping things fresh in the world of trials. The V backings look perfect!
  16. Thank you once again Jonny Jones. You have some talent when it comes to putting together videos. Please keep filming and attending events like this.
  17. Can someone please post the bike pics in this thread?
  18. Have you had any problems with that headset? I have it too & it is either too tight or too loose. Frustrating.
  19. Love the raw finish. The dual maggies give it a different look which I kind of like. Reminds me of the Hoffman Kamel that is very light.
  20. Felix Mucke, Ali C, Matt Staples, Rowan Johns, James Porter, Kenny Bealey
  21. Like others have said…the best Simtra ever. Bigman & others had nice ones but this is just so clean with very nice parts. I think it is very silly that people think +20 is too low for a BB. I am positive you could put Gilles or Giaco on one of their original St. Blaise (+0 or 10bb) frames & they would place very well. Simtra's were very popular in 2007, it is good to see fresh build on one.
  22. Amazing looking bike especially with a front & rear V. Is the front brake quite with the reverse V mount? How is the bite, hold, & modulation?
  23. SD Ti lever, Ultimate arms (was SD TI arms), CRV's (with light grind), Avid Flack Jacket housing, Generic Booster. Works perfect, never slips & has massive hold. I love it & it has a really light lever feel.
