  1. Awesome riding man! really smooth in some parts. Was really nice to watch and ride with you last year. Bring on part 2.
  2. Nice project! Awesome that there's people over here doing interactive stuff. Tryout touch designer. I'm currently trying to get along with it and its seems like jitter on steroids.
  3. Aluminum doesn't do the job. It's not just about manufacture and gussets. Aluminum is not the best choice material for a durable bike. If we had more people pushing the envelope in terms of riding you'd see all sorts of different brand 24" frames breaking like sticks.
  4. Some smooth parts... Awesome.
  5. Well yeah this year isn't going great in terms of riding.. I had quite a few health /financial problems this year that put me off the bike unfortunately. Video is not forgotten though. My back still has some recovery to make, but Im looking forward for the next months when the weather brightens up.
  6. Frames with 74/75º seat-tube angle look weird. Really like the laid back stance that 71/71º STa gives. As for the change of the head-tube angle, seems that they went for the right direction.
  7. Bike looks good. Looks proper in terms of geo and components.
  8. You can ask whatever set up you would like I guess. But I would go for standard ISO 160mm so that you change to whatever setup you want.
  9. From what Im experienced it took time to arrive but It was worth it, came exactly as I wanted with some interesting features like integrated 135mm headtube, heat-treated and custom gusset. I have my frame for about 7 months so far. And its holding up great. The heat-treatment makes it a bit sturdy with not to much flex which was my main concern regarding steel frames. Its holding up nose dives and whips without twists or cracks so far, I check it regularly. I've cracked 2 high-end aluminium frames in about 7/8 months during a tough periods of riding so I'm always checking my frames. Its the only input I can give on Marino frames so far. Here's a link to my bike: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/182824-my-marino-24-streettrials/ The geo is similar to yours: - 995mm WB - 375mm CS - 75º HTa - 72º STa - 25mm BB+
  10. 90x10 is a good choice with a lot of stackers. I enjoyed the 90x10 on the fourplays I had. Gives you good reach but you need to put more power down to get nice pop which turns the bike a bit more sluggish. This marino is short WB and has a 75 HTa which is definitely asking for a higher stem/bar combo. Its funny because even though I have less horizontal reach than with the 90x10 the bike feel way more trialsy. Feels like short MOD without the huge stem which is nice for rotations, barspins and general handling.
  11. I was running hope 90x10º stem. At the moment i'm running a 90x35º stem. Feels way better. Less angle feels better for barpsins though, but you get a good trialsy compromise with the 90x35.
  12. I'm still using 20mm stackers because I'm not keen on cutting the steering tube. The bike feels good. Rides a bit like a mod with the big bar rise. Still thinking if maybe a 70x35 stem would be better.
  13. Thanks for the comments. Havent been riding too much lately due to other commitments but Im hoping starting filming in a short while with the marino. The bike feels really good. Just upgraded it with a 100mm rise NS District Bar and a 90x35 stem. Feels even better now.
  14. I would say the same thing, but he executed them properly which was awesome to see. Definitely one of the best ambassadors of our sport in terms of image. Seing that small seat was a good laugh. Producer/Director: " How to but this weird bike looking normal?" ... "humm".. "humm"... "SEAT!!!"
  15. Nothing more reliable than a good hub with a strong 10mm / 14mm axle bolt tightened with long wrench. If the frame is well made and the bolt sits perfect 90º on the dropout there's no problem at all. Mech hangers break and weigh more, inner bolts on the dropouts are equally bad because it's more prune to cracks after some abuse. Only advantage on mech hangers is the like manuel said, geo accuracy, but I rather prefer fiddling and changing chains after 4 months than bashing the tensioner.
