  1. Quality vid Matt... especially liked the bit where you landed on your balls! Awesome choice of song too. Ed
  2. Awesome vid Matt, can't wait to get back riding with you like old times! Made me want to get out and ride too but lack of a bottom bracket is kind of hampering me! Ed
  3. Alright mate. Was forced to quit back then because of a back injury which was pretty gutting, but i'm back now! Just hope my back holds out! Ed
  4. Yeah, the piston is in the cross-over part which pushes the end of the cross-over pieces away from each other. This has the result of pulling the arms together. The main problem was that the join between piston & cross-over bits wasn't strong enough (in mine anyway). Mine snapped at this part under normal braking. Ed
  5. Yeah, they sucked a bit for trials use. I ended up snapping one of the linkages on the rear caliper. Nice long lever though. Can't say i'd reccomend them, don't have much hold and weigh a fair bit too. Ed
  6. Oh yeah, one plus point to them was that were designed for use with both V brake, and magura pads. They therefore came with an adaptor to run maggie pads on v brakes which was useful. Ed
  7. Don't have any pics of mine (at home in my cupboard with all my old/dead bike bits). Some black ones on ebay: starbike (Don't do it!) Ed
  8. I was reminiscing about when I first started riding trials and suddenly remembered Starbike hydraulic V brakes. Made by a small German company, they were an attempt to replace standard V brakes (not so much for trials use, just all round brakes). Was a good idea but they weren't too good in practise. I actually have a pair somewhere in silver which I managed to win off the starbike website. You had to play an online game where you fitted a pair of the brakes to a bike as quick as possible. The fastest time on the leader board every month recieved a free pair sent all the way from Germany. Pretty random but I just wondered if anyone else remembered them? (Not that it matters as they were a bit rubbish in my opinion, just interested) Ed
  9. That's true actually. When i'm not at uni I live a couple of miles from Hope and their turnaround is amazing. A mate took his bulb hub that he'd destroyed through misuse, came back in a couple of hours and they'd fixed it at no charge. Definately the best option if colour isn't that important to you. Ed
  10. Just checked and chevincycles do them in green. Hope this helps. Ed
  11. Awesome bike mate, nice and stealthy in black too! Ed
  12. Cheers Matt! It'll be awesome riding back home again. Maybe do 'the gap' in coach street car park... Ha ha, Marshall... Forgot about him, although I've probably got him to thank for getting me into trials. Weird little boy that one. Yep, one black, one gold. Good times... Ed
  13. Three Doors Down Third Eye Blind Weezer Ben Kweller All awesome! Ed
  14. I know of a couple, but never seen anyone out and about. yeah mate skineddy@hotmail.com Ed
  15. That sounds good mate. Once i'm back on my bike and feeling confident enough I'll be well up for meeting up for a ride! Very few riders in Cardiff from what i've seen, strange for a bigish city... Ed
  16. Cheers for the support everyone! Don't have any pics of either zero i'm afraid. Seem to remember i bought my first digital camera with the money i got from selling the first one. I haven't actually taken delivery of the new one, should arrive monday though I hope. That means I haven't actually managed to get myself out yet, apart from the fact my new bike still hasn't arrived, I've another week of uni exams until I can really. Can't wait though! Ed
  17. Cheers mate! It's gonna be great to get back out on my bike. It'll probably take time to get my confidence back though. Haven't ridden a bike full stop, let alone trials. Whatever happens it'll be fun. Ed
  18. Back in the day I was an avid trials rider. Was never particularly amazing but always really enjoyed myself and rode with an awesome bunch of people. Then in 2003 - due to back injury - I was forced to sell my Zero and had to say goodbye to the sport... Gutting. Now its three years on and I've finally managed to get myself back into it (just hope my back holds out)! Just wanted to say how much things have changed in trials... Can't believe the number of trials specific components on the market, and 26" frame geometry... Amazing what can happen in a few years! In a way i'm thankful people don't seem to rate Zeros any more, meant I got a bargain on one! Hope things keep on improving! Ed
