Your biggest problem i think is you are leaning too far back when you are on the backwheel thats why you cant get a good distance because your bodys got nowhere to move to. Try standing in a more upright position bring the bars in towards your chest more, then as you go to gap preload = crouch and straighten them arms see how you get on doing that..
I know what your saying ali but if you watch him on the mod he rides it more like a stock, lets the back brake off when going up stuff etc,,, i dont know hes probably the best to watch on both.
So bath bled it this morning and it went perfect, out all day today an hour in the ride leakage out the slaves so i had to rebleed using a kit and oil and it seems ok now just not as nice as a maggy with a water bleed so i am going to put the maggy slaves on this echo lever with a water bleed and see how i get on with it at shipley next week.
Just tried bleeding it with water and then oil but it just wont bleed properley, i tried with the bleed kit then in the sink but still no joy, i have done loads of bleeds before so i did not do it wrong along the way, anyone care to enlighten me why these brakes are so cack.
Right after playing about on 170 cranks with 18 -15 i think that the gear is too light. Contrary to what you just explained it feels like i need to go the other way and wack a 14t on. There seems to be no "kick" at the moment
To be honest from what i have tried so far on 170 cranks at 18 -15 its a big difference, i just cant seem to gap / sidehop with it, its frustrating. So your saying 16t would be too light.. hmmmmmm
As the title need some opinions which sprocket is going to feel like 18-15 on 175 cranks? I have less leverage so am thinking the 16t but somethings telling me i might need a 14t am confuzzled and need an answer.
