  2. soon to be mine i got the pic off of tarty bikes and then changed all the bits to blue (they were red before) on photoshop just gotta save up now lol
  3. My mates had a cracked seat-tube for about a year, i think its a planet-x jackflash, no flex at all either.
  4. Yeah, i was thinking about replacing it with the goodridge style hose, but its a bit expensive for my liking, but i saw the ones on cleanbikes, so cheers
  5. Hey all, i was wondering if you could get replacement hydraulic hose on its own? i have a nasty kink in mine and its affecting the strength of the brake. Any ideas? Ive tried looking on a few 'net-based shops, but cant seem to find any that do it. Any help is much appreciated
  6. well, i gave one pair to a needy mate, and sold some with a bike. the others are on my bike now
  7. oops! cheers mate. yeah ive always got on with v8's, ive had bout three pairs now
  8. Yes, standard onza pedals seem to do this a lot. A good replacement would be either some Onza shindigs or some DMR V8's. The DMR's are good as you can get replacement bearings
  9. best off with normal chain tugs, with snail cams you cant use the whole length of the dropout. plus with normal tugs you can have more adjustment.
  10. it took me aaaaaages, well it felt like that anyway, bout two weeks i think. try bringing the front wheel up, then letting it drop with the back brake on, then release the brake and kick the pedals again to bring the front back up and grab the back brake again. basically kick hopping/wheelie hopping whatever you want to call it, but without the hop. this will help you get used to the motion of the bike, and controlling the kick and the brake. then you can start to add little hops aswell. hope that helped
  11. try this. i havent had a problem since.
  12. yeah - "right, thats my go at that gap for this week" "any good? im having a go on friday" lol, i agree the dj rides are usually the biggest
  13. get a ceramic rim and ceramic pads, best braking e v e r. i had a go on someones bike with that setup, i thought they had tar on it it was that good.
  14. ooooowwwww! the worst ive done is with the bar end, yeah i use plugs now. hole in the thigh aint good
  15. there arent many pedals that dont kill your shins really are there? o well, if in doubt - use plastic kiddies pedals lol
  16. blue tape or blue rims? try tarty bikes - www.tartybikes.co.uk
  17. the worst is when using those bear-trap pedals, just say goodbye to your shins completely, i always use shindigs now and screw the pins into the pedals more!!
  18. blue rims look lush, yeah, go for blue bars, look - http://82.110.105.16/tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=400 except it would be 20" obviously. blue cranks look nice but theyd get really scratched
  19. you could replace the frame and most of the components on the front end with top quality parts for 500 quid. eg: GU typhoon frame £279 http://82.110.105.16/tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=60 GU forks £107 http://82.110.105.16/tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=190 Echo team stem £35 Echo tough bar £30 (comes in loads of colours) new tyres? spare money? £45 would result in a much better ride. then just upgrade further when you get some more money
  20. i had the same problem with about four fsa headsets, i got bored with putting up with it so i replaced it with a cane creek s2, havnt had a problem since you could try a headlock bolt aswell, they help with dodgy headsets.
  21. if you've tried the maxxis tyres before and are happy with them then why not just use them again, ive been using the same tyres for ages (maxxis minion super tacky ) and im used to them, plus maxxis are the best anyway.
  22. i think we should start posting photoshopped pictures of really crap cars turned into police cars, just trying to think of an outcome for this topic although that lambo does look quite sweet.
  23. *nods head* all of the above, although i havent started walking like i ride yet lol. although i do seem to piss my non-riding chums off when stating which walls look gappable etc. the worst thing is when you go on holiday or something like that and you wish you had taken your bike as soon as you get off the plane...yeah thats gay.
  24. yeah, lol, lack of back brake might pose a problem.
  25. i think it should come with a free sick bag/bucket.
