Nick Dale
Is there any special way to get a buckle out of a disc rotor? Mines not really really bad, but it is noticable and is getting to the "annoying" stage now So what shall i do to get the buckle out of the rotor?Bend it about with my hands?Heat it up and then bend it about with hands? What is the trick to get it nice and straight again?Ta for any help! Fixed Pants™
I've not tried this too much, but get an adjustable spanner and make it so it's tight against the rotor and go around the rotor as if you would a wheel with a spoke key, just keep trying. Matthew_Gibson
I've not tried this too much, but get an adjustable spanner and make it so it's tight against the rotor and go around the rotor as if you would a wheel with a spoke key, just keep trying.what he said! I done this to a shockwave "piece of shite!" I bent it out by at least 4 inch and it only moved 1-2 mm =O
Nick Dale
Yeah, only thing im worried about is fecking the rotor itself, will excessive stress from bending it around cause it to crack or deform in anyway?
Mike W
Just dont bend it too far, it shouldnt affect the strength of the rotor noticably Mike
Muel
I straighten mine with a spanner.Works, really well.
Nick Dale
Hmm,I shall give it a bosh! What is the best way to go about it?Leave it on the hub and running through the caliper/pads..ORTake it off altogether and do it like that? Nick Dale
Its been bent for a little bit, and it just drives me mad!It also makes my bb7 feel spongy because of it Would heating it up actually help to bend it easier? Like attack it with a blow tourch and have my way with it?
T.McMillan
buy a new one if you cant i just bent mine with my hands,
_Owen.
The way to get a rotor dead straight, is get up some speed and hold the brake on slightly, enough to slow you down, but not stop, and hold it in the same position for a bit and keep pedaling etc. it worked awsomely for me. also if you havent hit your rotor, and its bent by itself, make sure your pads are level and the rotor sits parrallel to the pads. hope i helped
Bearded Midget
mines kinda bent itself back a bit. but i did wack it on a curb and it went straighter than what it was but a new rotor is what im gunnu go for when i get the money. my rotors been wacked to many times to still be strong lol

moto_psycho
stick it in a vice between some big piece of metal or something, or use an adjustable spanner as mentioned above
dave33
dont heat it up will affect the materials properties do use a spanner braking does pull it straight after a while
Will Arnold
adjustable spanner, or just use ur hands with a clean cloth on the rotor, dont touch the rotor surface!
