Ideas For Loose Chains

Right folks, I'm absolutely skint so a tensioner is out of the question.

When I fitted my chain it was tight and no tension was needed - now it's slackened and falls off when I push the bike up kerbs. Obviously not keen on riding it like that.

What's the cheapest way to get some tension?

Thanks for the ideas guys, I've got a few bits f/s so hopefully I'll buy a new one rather than make my own (I just wouldn't trust anything I've made lol)

I'd like to make one, probably will, just don't trust myself :)

Ideal solution is to get enough cash together to buy a tensioner and a fatter chain as the one I've got on is only about 12 quid!

Get a piece of crap dmr tensioner (the classic ones) cut the wheel up abit to make space for your chain then use zip ties to tension it upwards - job done!

And practically everyone has owned a dmr tensioner at some point in their riding careers so quite easy to get hold of on the cheap.
