powerz
Right i really cant decide what would ride better.im around 5.8 and ride a GU07 which is about the same length as a long hydroxx but im thinking would a short hydroxx be better as im not exactly tall. I like to ride with a technical style & mainly ride street. What would be the pros and cons of each version? Also id be running a rear hs33, would the frame flex allot? as ive noticed many peeps run a rear disc on these frames. Thanks for any helpful advice and sorry for the kind of newbie question. The Duck
Personally I'd go for the short (the last mod frame i owned was a '07 Python [1030 wb]), sold it and went back to my t-mag for about a week because i was bored...Oh baby! It felt sooo good for some stuff! Just because it was short, made sidehopping, tapping...... so much easier.Sorry I'm pretty tired so that probably makes no sense, but I'd strongly recommend getting a short. You'll ride like a god. Captain Scarlet
Yea thats a thing Ash, have you tried Toby's Hydroxx might give you an idea.Get a short, much better for spins and technical shizzle that your into.Everyone knows that a short bike spins better. powerz
Yep looks like the short has the most votes at mo, least that way i can have a long frame (GU) and a short (KOXX). Just i dont want it feeling to cramped up when riding, abit like the montys do IMO
Token
If you think a monty is cramped, then you might want to think again about the short hydroxx. Being 990mm wb thats a tad shorter than a monty. Might just take abit of getting use to.

lil Jsy Chris
Definitely go for the short, much nicer to ride.
Savage
Don't worry about flex on a Hydroxx. The short is not super short and the long is not super long, when compared to other frames. Both have sold without worries. At 5'8" you need to look at your style not the frame.Ben.
Greetings
Short, mainly because mods only make sense if they're short If you want something long, get a stock Edited November 8, 2007 by Inur
Savage
I had my best mod results on a Level Boss long, at 15. If you have the technique to keep the front light on a long mod it can be an advantage.Ben.
powerz
Well im no basher and im not really that good yet either.People that i have riden with say i ride technical, smooth and have kind of a bmx riding style.I guese buying a short would make sense for more flicky things ect but what would be slightly harder on a short rather than long? Thanks for all your help im 90% decided on the short now
