here there are 160, 180 and 200 for £19.99

The 180 is £25 and the 200 is £30.

If we can get hold of the same products for less cash (and therefore lower retail price) then we'll always do it - I'll get one to check out (Y)

The £5 differance or so (and has been mentoned increases with rotor size) is hardly a massive dfferance is it. Just like you can get most Deng forks for around £5 cheaper at SelectBikes then Tarty....but so what? Prices differ from shop to shop, i know i mainly shop at Tartybikes as they have never let me down and have given me great service.

I'm not bumming them, nor am i condeming you, but is a £5 differance really worth a new thread? Sure the increased sizes are great for stock riders, but....meh? That it?

Choice is good and all, just think it would be better to jsut point them out rather than the price differance in comparison to a particular shop. Especially as the price was different for each rotor.

the price difference was beacuse tarty are the only retailler that sells these rotors. and i also mentioned the pads it not all about the rotors.

50 mins work for me. Or 2 seconds to use another website. On the net its always best to shop arround for whatever your buying, and if you really want to support someone support your local bike shops.

I would if i wanted specialised body geometry saddles and pretty horrible components. Also being that my local bike shop is the chain 'Freewheel' i'd rather support an independent place like Tartybikes, just because they're not on my doorstep doesn't mean i shouldn't use them. They have helped trials so much, whereas my local bike shop one of the first times i walked in with my Koxx said, ''Oh a trials rider'' in a disgruntled way.

Oh course money is money ,i just dont think finding a cheaper product should highlight the places that charge more, theres nothing wrong with saying 'x' os available here for this price which s the cheapest around.

i think your taking what i meant the wrong way, i myself have spent thousands in tarty and im sure adam will tell you that im jsut saying.

at work today i looked through a catalog and fount a product sum of us use not jsut cheaper as you keep highligting but in different sizes from what are already available for us.

you also seem to be going on about the disk and not about the pads

ive edited my first post for u

IMO £5 is a lot as I buy most things on a budget! well kinda, for 99.9% of my trials parts are borght from Tarty. Main reason for that is they send most stuff same day, and it normally here next day. other shops have taken 5 days to send a cable!!

They only things I can get cheap through Halfords are Koxx pads. which with discount end up at about £11.50 which is better that almost £20!

yeah when i worked at halfords i got a freewheel (try all) with discount for £40 it was brilliant.

not i work at apline bikes i get trade prices which is brilliant unfortunately they do less trials parts than halfords.

but we do get chris king and hope :)

some people do build there bikes on a budget but the point is the disc is 20 pound which if i remember rightly is less or equivalent to one from hope and as made out on a website, this disk pictured has a better performance

Yeah, i know what you're getting at, just thought it was a bit of a broing topic...sorry, no offense meant - wasn't being argumentative ,just pedantic i guess. IF course the cheaper the better if it doesn't come at the exten of quality. And i did say it was good to highlight the other sizes....

In terms of freewheel...well its like any chain really - its not the same level of service/feel, and yeah most importantly they don't stock any trials parts, the only things i've bought off them is seat clamps/ rim tape etc...generic items.

Although my freewheel has a couple of nice staff members ,who are helpful (for example one opened up and did some work on my bike when it was stock take day and the shop was shut). But as i said my first impression will always be the same - the disgruntled attitude, as there was one miserable b*****d that worked there.

Also places like freewheel/evans have nothing to loose, whereas tartybikes is there lively hood, so i'd rather give them my money.

But yeah more variety of discs/pads etc...only a good thing!
