Levers on the wrong side? Do you mean that I should brake the rear tire with my left?

I'm not really comfortable braking rear with my left.

With the brakes: It's really hard here in the philippines to grab hold of any maguras or even parts. For the meantime I think I'm stiking with vees. For now I'll upgrade to an XT. To Maguras, maybe next year.

Thanks

Thanks alot guys, this bike really took alot of time and money to build. Most of the major parts were shipped from hongkong because LBS' here in the philippines don't import any trials specific parts. Maybe, because there's only a handful of guys here that do trials?!

Anyway, I'm still revising some parts like the rims, hubs and maybe the freewheel. But from this point, I'll take some time off on changing parts and focus on my riding!

I'll be posting some update, soon.

Thanks again.

Oh, so you're from the Philippines. Cool, there's sure many trials riders in your country! They keep adding me on friendster, lol.

Anyway, your shiny frame is very nice.

Is it mandatory for the rear brake lever to be on the left side in the UK? Is it because of the right hand drive (for cars I mean)?

I'm right handed so my rear brake lever is on the right, and my country is right-hand drive too. Most of the riders at my side put the rear brake lever on the right.

Opposite in the UK, rear on the left :)

Haha ok I'm from the US and I had to look back at the pictures I'm like what are they talking about the brakes are how mine are. My whole life I've rode bikes with right hand rear brakes, if I had to switch I'm almost sure I would go over the bars a few times.

Im pretty sure the swapped brake levers are to do with being able to give hand signals when turning across a carriage way (right in the UK / left in the US) whilst still being able to safely control speed with the rear brake :)

Could well be wrong though :D

Well, I personally think that wherever or whatever hand you use for rear brake, as long you feel comfortable.

It's a matter of preference.

Just a warning thou...

DON"T BORROW YOUR FRIEND'S BIKE WITH A DIFFERENT BRAKE SETUP!

Hehehe. Cheers
