hi

i am new to trials and come from a dirt jump and street background and need help on some basics.

i am building up a echo urban 24'' and have now got a rear wheel sorted but in need of all other parts to finnish the build.

if there is any advice on decent starter parts as im currently on abit of a budget so cant afford to spend £100's of pounds just yet.

any help will be grateful

cheers andy

Do you have the frame yet? Exactly how much of a budget do you have to work with? What brakes (if any) do you intend on running?

yes i have the frame which is a echo urban so iv been told.

rear wheel complete

try-all cranks

set of avid rim brakes which il possibly be using as not got a disk rear wheel.

budget wise i was looking at finnishing the build within about £150 - £200 max

Ok so you need:

  • vee adaptors
  • pads
  • lever
  • cable
  • front brake
  • forks
  • headset
  • stem
  • bars
  • grips
  • BB
  • pedals
  • front wheel
  • tyres
  • tubes
  • seatpost
  • seat
  • seat clamp
  • tensioner
  • chain
  • rear cog
  • front cog
  • bash guard

And i'm sure there are more things i missed. Just looking at the number of items you need, new parts aren't really possible. I'm afraid its a case of scouring Ebay for bargains, but even then i think you'll be hard pushed to come in on budget. What rear wheel do you have?

haha pads are all ok now. was messing about swapping pads and adjusting brakes etc.

cheers for comments but i want to have a different frame now and forks as its not right for me. looking at going to a marino frame as can custom build it and also have horizontal drop outs then.
