Should also be an interesting week's for Europa footie games. Navy getting involved to help bring back thousands of stranded travellers. Will the uk government financially bale out the airline companies who were already losing money before the ash crisis, and what about the potential possibility of entering a double dip recession? True, but they won't get it because the CAA will probably use the same 'Act of God' bull that the airline companies and travel insurers were using towards stranded travelers trying to seek compensation for extra accommodation fees. So now airline companies will have to charge extortionate amounts for airline tickets to claw back their loses whilst sorting out the huge backlog, this effect will mean fewer tourists coming over this summer despite the piss weak pound against other currencies, more bale out from the government, tax payers feel the pinch again and potentially a double dip recession just around the corner. Not necessarily... The volcano caused the disruption but it was the CAA's decision to close UK airspace and screw everything up so bad. If it was, in fact, safe to fly (from certain airports at certain altitudes but they didn't alter their no-fly stance then they have a very real case to answer, the defence of which cannot be 'it was an act of Jebus'.
