We pay a small amount for a premium membership and we get to support the site, our own premium member title and our own section. I've seen it on other forums and it seems good. And even with the option of paying it creates work sorting all that out and keeping it all up to date. It shouldn't be mandatory, but it would be good for members to donate, and somhow their profile/name or whatever is illuminated in some way. The forum I use, they have alot of things to run, like multiplayer sever etc, so everymonth they have a quota to fill; which is £200.
