Dressler Camp 010 is going to be held pretty soon!

We already launched DC010 registration so you can find out more details and conditions of the Camp.

Here are some basics. You can find much more at www.dressler.cz

(there is CAMP section at top menu).

You can switch to English language at top-right corner.

Date is 1-6th July 2010.

We plan to make 8 or 10 or even more trials contests during the Camp.

Really looking forward to this - sounds such an awesome event.

To all the riders that were disappointed that Koxx Days wasn't as it should've been (at buthiers with big camp fires), this sounds like it could be all we'd hoped for and a lot more. :D

these are Josef Dressler's words on this...

"I have been to Koxx Days few times. It was amazing competititon and there was attractive stuff to watch. On the other hand, I missed more fun, parties and relaxing atmosphere. That's why Dressler Camp's motto is "Trial, fun and rock 'n' roll". We make contests every day, we are trying to make wide range of different trials contests and we always try something new. We have massive afterparties every night and we make live rock concerts at the camp site. It is all in one place. Everyone is warmly welcomed to have much fun with us. Im looking forward to see you!! Josef "

I'll drop in for a day or two, checked the maps and it seems it's only a 20km drive from where I'll be staying and riding at that time. I guess I could take a few riders over to Poland for an hour or two, there's some pretty good natural spots just beyond the border.

edit:

What's the fallen trials rider contest? Is it aimed at riders who have been riding for like 10 years and are stil absolutely rubbish at the sport?

We'll do our best to make good video again. Unfortunately my camera is broken at the moment, but I will fix this problem before Dressler Camp starts.

Fallen Trial Contest is one of the main contests of Dressler Camp. The name "Fallen" comes from Fallen foot wear brand which gives us great support.

All day qualification round is regular biketrial competiton with BIU rules. We make sections for only three categories. Beginners, Intermediate and Elite.

Beginner class is acceptable for 5 years old riders and also for any cyclist who wants to try trials riding. Intermediate is something between this and Elite. You can choose any class you want. We don't care. If you find out that your class is too easy or too hard for you, you can try another class. There is plenty of time for the whole competition. You can even make two laps in Intermediate class and then take another penalization card and take a part in the competition again in Elite. You can do almost anything you want until the time limit for the comeptition is over.

Fallen Trial Contest finals will be held after this regular contest. Only top riders of Elite class will qualify to the finals which is great show (you'll see). The finals has littlebit modified rules which will be introduced to the riders before start. Generally we do not allow the riders in finals to make safety dabs. We force them to overcome all obstacles in nice and clean style.

We'll be very happy to see you there and we hope you'll see something to remember ;)

(CZE) Haha! :D Beginner sekce nejsou jenom pro deti. Jezdi tam i dospeli hobby jezdci. Ta prostredni trat by pro Tebe mohla byt v pohode. Nektere sekce budou tezsi a nektere lehci.

And now almost same in English. The question was about what level to choose in the competition. If you don't want to ride Beginner class with the kids :D (even if Beginner is also for older hobby riders), you may choose Intermediate. If there is something too hard in Intermediate section, you can take easier line in the section. Dressler Camp is all about fun, the results are not so important. Riders in Elite class takes it a bit more serious. The other classes are rather for fun but can seriously compete there too.
