Posted February 3, 2011 Report Share Posted February 3, 2011 (edited) OK well the interenets rubbish and unhelpfull, and just making me worried, i have lumps on the back of my tounge simular to the ones shown below, i believe that it is circumvallate papilla, please could someone help me find out what this is what it is caused by how to get rid of it thanks, Sprog (serious/honest answers please) Edited February 3, 2011 by Sprog! Posted February 3, 2011 Author Report Share Posted February 3, 2011 Causes are many and varied, a change in toothpaste or mouthwash for example or something like a throat or sinus infection can bring them on. Its not harmful, other than causing you a little discomfort they don't really do much, its just an enlargement of a type of taste buddy type thing on the tongue, everyone has them, most just stay small and hidden in the tongue.
