Colour update!!

New (main) colour is 'Sprint blue' - I used to own an Audi TTS in this colour and absolutely loved it. So here we are!

Not sorted the fixings for the new bonnet yet so excuse the fact it's not fastened down....

Black vinyl stripe to come soon and then sadly put a reg plate back on the front.

Chuffed!

Looks great that! A Westy/MK/Lotus is definitely an itch I'd like to scratch one day..

Leave the plate off!

Thoughts on recolouring my alloys? I was thinking Anthracite but I'm not sure if I like the contrast that silver gives now...

Both will look good.

Silver need cleaning more often

Silver doesn't really match anything on the rest of the car. With the black screen surround and roll hoop etc. I'd definitely go dark.

That looks so so much nicer that colour! Agreed dark wheels will look awesome too.

Picked this up in December as a replacement for my Audi A6. Feel a bit like an old man in it sometimes!

Unit move complete. Over the moon to have all my cars back under one roof and with plenty of space to spare too! Second lift is on order and hopefully fitted by next week.

One very tired, but relieved Samuel.

Between 6 of us (trying our best to keep to the rule of 6 job were all currently landed with) we managed to move everything out inside 4 days. We made an excel inventory of everything I’ve got down to individual parts, totalling 357 (not including part quantities). I’m amazed that it all fit inside the old place!

Looks like a lot of money for a RH with a pinto!

I paid quite a bit less than for mine with a higher spec pinto and mine's an MK not a RH....

Yeah it seems a lot higher than most RH's, I guess because it looks tidy.

Ideally I'd like a more modern engine anyway. I'm still just browsing at the moment, any purchase will be 2-3 months away - good to get an idea of what's about though.

Lift no.2 installed last night. Despite the initial worries about the extra cost of the place I’ve never been busier, feeling good about it all now.

Keep going Sam, it's a good feeling to get busier and expand your name out there.

It’s a great feeling mate. Absolutely stacked out at the moment and the bookings keep rolling in. Plenty of repeat custom too! It’s great to be making a living on the cars I enjoy the most.

I dug the white DC2 out this weekend just gone and gave it some love prior to a trip to Oulton Park yesterday. Oil change, rear pad replacement, new exhaust and swapped in my short ratio box (more so for the plated LSD but I’d forgotten just how hard it pulls with it in!)

First trackday in well over a year and a half. Went really smoothly, car performed impeccably and drove home without any major issue bar my idle valve playing up a little.

Red teg had an engine bay de-greasing this evening and made a start on repairing some corrosion on the N/S/R. Got a bit carried away but given the rest of the car is free from corrosion I’d rather chop out and replace what I can to make it as sound as can be.

Back on its original wheels now too and it’s looking a million times better for it.

I added stripes a few weeks back. Thought I'd add a pic :)

Personlised reg on it now too (didn't want to add it to the front though - boo!)  so it really does look like a completely different car! Funny.

Not sure why but the blue wishbones offend me... just look wrong to me! Looks like wicked fun though!

In totally unrelated (but at least car related) news we had Aston in the tunnel this week and one of the chaps was telling us about the Mercedes Multibeam LED headlight system that was totally new to me and very impressive. I think there's probably more tech in one of their headlights than in the whole of my car (and probably as many parts to go wrong too) but very impressive tech providing it works.

It was worth a try

I'm trying to arrange for some local folks to test out this kinda car on my driveway, I think you saw the post on FB - a local-ish guy has said he's happy to do it in his RH, so hopefully soon I'll know what I can get on the drive and into the garage. Realistically I won't be buying until July / August or maybe even a couple of months later, so no rush... Would be good to get one nearer the end of summer so I can tidy it up over winter if needed.

Yeah I saw that, seems ideal! Have a nosey at his car too (obviously you will - you're a car man!), will give you a better idea what to look out for when you do hopefully take the plunge!

Adam and Sam, please keep an eye out for half decent, roadworthy Robin Hood / MK / Westfield / similar cars up to £6.5k.

I've been looking a fair bit recently and now have the funds to do a buy. Scoured eBay / Autotrader / PH / FB Marketplace so far and haven't found much, well, I have for £10k or ones that are in Scotland, but that's too far to go and view one. There was a perfect one up earlier in the week but unsurprisingly it sold almost instantly.
