How on earth does a wheel nut split?  Are they made out of cheese?

Exactly my point. I've had to look about and try cobble a full set of OEM nuts to roll on. For a £50.00 set of nuts I'm less than impressed haha.

This car does my head in.

I'll be fitting some Muteki nuts and ARP extended studs when it's fixed.

Do 6TWO1 actually manufacture anything?

Is it not just cheap rebranded stuff?

Their gear is actually really good. Their own brand coilovers have been a huge success, many run them on their track cars.

I know Adam quite well and he's always been really helpful so I would hope he gets an answer to me soon.

The 182 in question that im getting, anyone with a 182 spot anything noticeable i may of missed?

So far body work wise, it has a cracked rear bumper, dented bonnet (shut dent?), dent on rear arch, scuffed front bumper.

Brakes NEED replacing on the front so looking at the Brembo carbon things that are cheaper than the K-Tecs, and quite possibly K-Tec coilys or lowering springs maybe?

I cut and routed the beech surface and used the left over bit as a back, just needs a little more fine sanding and then some PU varnish to protect it a bit. I did wonder about routing out a recess in the middle so that screws and stuff don't fall off but then I realise I CBA and a magnetic tray will be fine anyway.

It seems the average price for one on egay is about 2k? but most of those are high milage...

When he has this car driving everyday, it was clean, and the paintwork isnt bad at all minus those points i previously mentioned.

I think it should be a good car once i get it.

What mileage is it actually on? Belts havent been done by a specialist too which would put me off (yes it matters)

Forthe shoddy  paintwork and bad Brakes it's definitely not worth £1500. Offer him £1300 or so?

Like Dann says, specialist for the belts does matter. No idea who Origin Automotive are, would be surprised if they had the tool to lock the cams and pulleys for a belt change. Personally would take it to a specialist after purchasing and have the belts done regardless of the receipt provided. Doubt you'd need a dephaser as that was done anyway.

So I'd probably say £1300 tops, then expect £400 for the belts to be done. That should give your a solid car with no real worries.

Why does it matter if a specialist did them? If they've been done, and the car is still running, what's the issue?

This. Only like changing any other cam belt, one of the easier ones I've done too.
