isitafox
Just randomly scouting through Tarty and spotted the new Clean forged stem on there and it struck me as being a really odd size at 140mm x 26.5°. Seeing as most people with moderate BB stocks either use a 130mm x 25° or 150mm x 30° I don't get it, are they just filling a gap or is it a work of genius? Mark W
If you're running a frame with around a 71 to 72° head angle it has the same reach (well, 1mm shorter) as the 150x30 stem but without the extra height. I guess they might be doing that either for a lower front end, or to have it so you can have your bars in a similar position to a 150 stem with "Carthy bars" but with the bars rolled back to a slightly more normal position? AdamR28
It's a '145 x 25' but we measured it rather than CTRL+C, CTRL+V from the Clean site.

Aldred_85
Says an awful lot for the QC of the stem, and/or design. I'd be questioned at work if I was asked to make something x long by x angle, and it came up 'Slightly' out...
AdamR28
Hmm, not really. The forge tool is whatever it is, all the stems will come out the same. It will be listed in the catalogue as a 145 x 25 not to blow people's minds with strange geometry Edit: We could measure all the stems we have and they'd come out differently to what the company said they were. To the todo list....
LEON
I have about 5 90 x 35 stems, none of them are the same size.
