Kevinfor
When I was out riding today I managed to snap the axle for my right pedal and after taking the cap off the end I see a 10 mm nut. My 10 mm sockets are too wide to fit in the stupid hole.. Anyone got any ideas how to get the axle out of there? Thanks! Edit: It seems to be a 9 mm, which I have one that will fit. New problem: axle snaped completely and turning the nut just turns axle thats still insidle the pedal... isitafox
Find a socket that will fit, seriously they do exist as I've tightened mine up before.
BJ.
If the axel has totally snapped knock it out from the other side
isitafox
He's gonna need one to fit a new axle though
Kenny--Trials
if you know someone with a tig welder you could weld a T bar to the top and try and get it off like that but a smaller socket is probably the best way to go
rupintart
You probably have shit tools. The nicer tools like Craftsman, Snap-on, Pittsburgh Pro, Matco all use thinner wall sockets for this very reason....car mechanics often need sockets to fit in tights spaces...find a nicer socket...bet it will fit.
