radfest surrounding areas

Hi,

 

me and gaz are thinking of going radfest getting the weekend ticket but maybe travel about to ride south end or any where else close by one of the days if its nice weather so not in radfest all weekend, anybody got any ideas of good places to ride close to radfest ? be good to maybe hit a few spots up since its a 4 hour drive each way for us

Southend is not as good as it used to be but there's plenty there if you're new. Chelmsford is not all that, Basildon is ok but you can't ride most of it on a weekend, plus it's a shithole.

Locally Southend is probably your best bet if you park at the civic centre/police station at the top of town then work down, it's quite a busy town though and the sea front will be busy if it's hot.

how far roughly would you say the drive is from radfest to south end ?

Southend is 25/30 min from Rad.

If you want guys I work on the seafront and I can help with parking so you don't have to pay. I don't mind coming for a ride with you lads to show you a few places , if you like that is.
