Did I just watch Jack riding Shipley like he was on a BMX in a skate park?

Albert Liao, ayliaotrials on Instagram spent a week with Jack and made this video. Wish there were more videos of the top comp guys. Every kid with an inspired pumps out endless content.

Absolutely incredible riding. Most of that simply shouldn't be possible.

Its like the perfect UCI video, no awful gay Euro music, just quiet back ground music with some noisy brake honks,
I feel a new bike on the horizon

Funny that. This video was brought to my attention by someone who's thinking of buying a pure trials bike.

Take note comp scene. "Good videos" sell bikes.

Soon as I spotted the other natty location I was hoping to see him static the Akrigg cliffhanger gap.

Ace video, he's just insane and because it's all smooth you have to know the locations to understand how stupid it all is.

This, even some of the more “tame” looking sections at Shipley Glen are mind boggling in person.

He rides with precision and ease like no one else. Truely too of his game. Hermance and the likes of are good but Jack makes it all looks like child’s play.

Snip.

What is the thing he wears on his knee/leg?

Possible due to a tendon issue? A lot of climbers use tape to ease pain caused by golfers/tennis elbow, so perhaps the same thing going one here but for his knee?

Interestingly it's on his back leg. I remember that back when I was riding a lot (4-5 times a week) I also used to get a pain/twinge in my back leg too, especially when tucking on sidehops.

Looks like some sort of monitor?

Yeah I was wondering if it was a heart rate monitor but then trials isn't exactly the most cardio heavy sport in the world (though I guess that might change when you get to Jack's level!).

He's posted up stuff about his physio sorting out his knee injury, so I assume it's just a tendon band.  When I had patellar tendonitis I looked at a few things that were similar to that.
