Barspin Inspired Hex

5 posts in this topic

Was wondering if any Hex owners can barspin them ? Looking at getting either a hex or arcade, I know it's doable on the arcade but I'd prefer something with the saddle a little higher to pinch with my legs

I've seen people barspin Ali's Hex, maaaay have seen James Barton barspin his?  If you wear big shoes and have your feet far forwards on the pedals I guess you may run into problems, but realistically that'll be the same on most street trials bikes.  If it ever ended up being a big problem you could go for some shorter cranks, or just learn to be a bit more on the balls of your feet on your pedals.

Both are possible to bar, but they are both more difficult to bar than dirt-jumpers or BMX bikes. Not because of the saddle, more so the bar position. I'd say between the 2, the arcade was easier, but it may just be because I spent more time on it.

+1 for the arcade for learning, but the hex will still work. i run my seat slightly higher when doing barspins. For me its the front brake lever that takes the most time to adjust to. Good luck with it...ill upload one here for you to look at.
