Took delivery of this the other day and made a start on making it my style already. The colour won’t be staying, wheels may take a while with the current situation and November until rims are hopefully in stock. But will be a nice build hopefully when complete.

I quite like but only for now. Should be wheels are on the way but may need a tyre swap the 2.4 doesn’t seem to squeeze in the rear hopefully 2.35 will do. It will be rollable brakeless this weekend to play with.

I was really tempted by this when I saw it for sale, never owned a Curtis and looked like a cool project. Geo looked pretty good to for some streety stuff. Good luck with it...

I’m not too sure on the year to be honest can’t find a lot out about it. There was a Belgium rider who rode this but not found anything more out.
it’s looking pretty different now and does hop and spin rather nicely. Waiting on a few bits before I can actually ride it properly. Only a little brakeless play around in the garden so far.

If you email curtis bikes they will be more than happy to help

Hand built in uk and people would do anything to have a curtis over as they are considered to be one of the best frsme builders around anywhere

A little bit more striping and it’s getting close to being clear coated.

Almost complete. Waiting on the decals and hubs to get the wheels built and then finally ride again. Massive shout to @Addict Ben for sorting the awesome top cap set up, stem and one finger levers.

I am very jealous of that - looks awesome. Very similar to the Leeson (love a raw brazed steel frame) I abused for years prior to the Alias.

Would of like a leeson but this came up and thought I’d give it a go raw and pleased to see the brazing too. Coming along nicely and hopefully rideable by next weekend.

It’s built now and just about rideable need to sort a few bits to finish it off but this is how it looks now.

Just got to find or adapt my bar ends to fit these bars but it’s so much fun what I have spent on it, not very much.

Please never bring this bike anywhere near me because I will ruthlessly try and make babies with it...

That said I have had a couple of conversations with Gary at Curtis recently... 2021 might be a good year ;)

Haha, different outcome to my convos then. That said, my dad bought an AM7 hardtail last year (the first pinion one he's made if anybody has seen/cares) and we had a good conversation about it then, plus while there he fixed a couple if cracks and popped some brake tabs on my brakeless Arcade. Although weary, he's not said no to the idea. He's put me on the build waiting list so that's a step in the right direction haha

I will say - The price made me choke a bit :S

Yeah I wasn't expecting that price... He just couldn't believe 380mm stays on a 26/tyre clearance. What kind of frame are you getting?

I'm looking at something along the lines of an Arcade. The tyre/crank clearance is my main concern too and might be the deal breaker. Needs to be max ~365 chainstay or I won't be doing it. Can't afford to spend that on a frame that isn't perfect haha :P

Yeah, although 26in clearance is usually tighter, so 24in shouldn't be a problem. Others manage it no problem. He suggested an 83mm bb, 142mm axle etc, I was like.....na.

Yeah, it would definitely work that way but it's a nahhhh from me too. I have a very specific vision and if he can't/won't do it then it's a no from me dawg

Yeah, I figured fairly quick. Even asked about making forks but wouldn't even give a price on them haha. I managed to have a rejig of bikes and free up the money to invest into another so he was probably surprised to hear I was still interested :P
