Please help me find a dirt jump bike.

Hi.

I am looking for a adult dirt jump bike that is good but not too expensive.

I have a full suspension bike which i use for dirt jumps but it keeps on breaking' and it is expensive to replace the parts.

With the bike that i have now i custom built it form the frame' forks and rear shock. It is a trek remedy 29 2016.

It has broken multiple times and it is just taking money away from me.

Thats why i need a dirt jump bike that can handle being jumped on the dirt.

I'm only young but I'm 6ft tall so the bike has to be strong and tough.

If anyone has any suggestions that i could look at that would be great.

With this budget you can only get something used... It will be hard to find a decent dirt mtb. It will have cheap wheels that you will damage quickly as soon as ou try rotation.

So go for a second hand dirt/street BMX.

"Jumping" in to this thread... What's the deal with jump bike prices these days?

I remember when I couldn't give away a half decent DMR, now you can't find anything half decent for less than £600.

I'd quite like a jump bike to mess around on / ride to the pub on, but I don't want to spend that much really... Is there a secret stash of cheap-ish jump bikes that I'm missing?

You can pick up a Giant STP for the £300 mark second hand.

There has been a few on eBay recently, I know as I bought two to make a front sus trials bike. If you are prepared to upgrade the parts yourself it can work out quite well...

I’ve just turned this;

I appreciate this is a trials build, but STP stands for street, trails, park. The geo is great for an all round fun machine

It’s now a 26 - when I bought it, it came with trashed 24 inch wheels. They did have hope bulb hubs, so I sold those to get some money back towards project.

the frame was designed to be a 26. It’s great fun to ride, seems to handle anything I try throw at it.

I am considering running a larger front ring so I can use it for the occasional XC ride too. I’ll still have a bash guard though.
