I tried for about a minute, decided it was shit, and turned off.

I don't think there's enough excitement to keep people entertained, might just be the current setting though so I'm intrigued to see if it improves next time

Only highlight was this huge crash at 03:27-03:47

Quality and scale is no where near the footage is captured at RedBull Rampage livestream and highlights footage.

If the main theme behind this e-racing is the locations, they should definitely work on how best to capture it and make it stand out.

Even the onboard cam from this test footage is better than the onboard from the actual race series

Shame as was looking forward to it too.  Not as exciting as WRC which is always a bit more hectic being generally on normal width roads / tracks.  And Dakar they have a load more drivers/vehicle categories /  different makes / epic scenery / great chopper footage to pick and choose footage from. Lots of rooster tails too. Just overall a more epic spectacle. Back to MotoGP and trying to hunt down supercross then.

More entertaining to watch than Formula E in some ways but all a bit pants. Watched some of the qualifying and lost interest when they started handing our 175 second penaties for speeding in the (completely empty) changeover area and 25 second penalties for leaving the changeover area 0.5 seconds early. Races were pretty much over after the second corner due to visibility. Also, anyone understand the format? What was the difference between the semi-final and the CRAZY RACE? Definitely a bit meh.
