Coust Brake Pads

- Instantly work better than my Koxx pads (fully bedded in) without bedding in (by 'better' I mean more bite and lock). I had some Plaz a while ago too, and didnt get on with them at all - were worse than the Koxx. This is on a 47mm Try-All rim btw - super soft cheeseuminium!

- Make a funky noise, haha.

- Fairly 'squishy', like Plaz pads.

- Good value at £16 posted (IMO, compared to up to £20 for Koxx)

- Lots of material on them (10mm) so should last a wee while.

Will say more when ive done a nice new grind and let them bed in

Havent tried them on a 'clean' rim, since I use a grind. Id imagine they work well though. A good pad is a good pad, whatever your rim has or doesnt have on it (in my experience).

The grind I have at the moment is shagged, so I need to re-do it, plus theres a few bits of manky tar/dust mixture on the rim from trying to get my Koxx pads to work.

so you think they probably would be beeter than koxx bloxx on a clean rim?

:(

Geesh.

He doesn't know, he runs a grind!

Anything said would be specualation.

However, a good pad should not need any "additives" to make it work, they just make it work more.

George - Very unlikely, seeing as they use proper brakes ( :P )

Gayness.

It looks like Janson's vee adaptors could prove to be a very big hit then, if they go into production, seeing as the majority of decent Magura pads don't come in vee brake form :P

(And my brake is proper, you cheeky bitch! :( )

They look good liking the colour. I will invest in some for the back brake when I have one :( . If they are better than koxx and a bit cheaper then they must be worth the money.

does it work well with out a grind? yes, I am well aware that grinds are where it's at, but ideally I'd like a pad that doesn't require grinding or any modification for it to work well. thanks

Are grinds really a modification in the trials world though? I would have said thats it more standard than anything. Comp riders have used them for many years.

I know you wont know yet, but if using a grind, will they wear really fast? I use koxx pads with a grind and they don't seem to wear at all. although I isn't that impressed with them really

how do people know they won't rip off the backing?

why are they green? does that make them work better?

Are they better because they have a magura backing?

Does the glue they are stuck on with come from pluto or the moon?

Did superman make the glue, possibly?

Will there will be more bite rather than modu cos of the length?

Are they designed for tar on a rim?

Will they work with a grind?

Do silver rims dent easier than cd or ceramic.

how big is your willy.

These are all fundamental quesions which need to be taken seriously.

Phil your silly

And its massive :(

One thing is though phil how many pads have you destroyed then using a grind? All ive broken is a clear pad as I had far far too mcuh tar on't rim and it basically was ripped off as it stuck to the quim, grinds don't make pads 'stick' imo

The glue is alegidly from Youranus actually :(
