Shaun H Posted December 16, 2005 Report Share Posted December 16, 2005 (edited) I now have to bring top fuel drag cars into it now.Only difference is there engine lasts a competion if there lucky.Though 0-100 is less than a second and hitting 300+ in 1/4mile.i.e. BoomandBoom againBOLLOCKS links don't work so here's the whole page: Top fuel stuffI love drag racing, my dad owns this 1934 Ford coupe. Runs 8.36 1/4 mile in full street legal trim. So fun being driven in it on the road What I don't understand is how he has gotten ~900 horses out of a 9 litre V8 (before 500hp extra N2O ) Yet all these engineers only manage 1000 out of an 8 litre engine with *4* turbos.Anyone else thinking of going to the Nitrolympics at Hockenheim next year?More on topic - I love the car I think it's a wonderful achievement and will lead to many improvements in other areas of automobile design. If I had the money I'm not sure if I would buy one, I'd just feel like a complete tosser in it but ah well.
