MrSuave Posted January 10, 2006 Report Share Posted January 10, 2006 right, i have an echo control long version and am putting a stem on it. ordered a thomson which is 100mm with 10* rise , put it on today and it just doesn't feel right. too short, so obviously ill be going for 110mm when i change it tomorrow, reckon i should get a 20* rise as well?? Whats everyone else running on theres?? have you managed to get use to it after a bit or what?The Echo control stem's from tarty bike are 5* rise and come in 90, 100 and 110mm.confusion ps- im 5'11' Thanks in advance. TheMunn Posted January 10, 2006 Report Share Posted January 10, 2006 If you can get a 110mm long with 10deg rise, my friend has one on his stock and its very good, you might want to take into account your fork length when going for a higher/lower rise stem. James_Porter Posted January 10, 2006 Report Share Posted January 10, 2006 i got a 110 on my 1065 control and it feels loads better than my 100 did. im getting a 1080 control soon and i will probably stick my 100 on that first cause i find that the ones i have riden with 110 stems feel to long for me. stems are a personal prefrence, you will just have to try different ones.
