Willsey
either way mate.. depending on what the bike is and what tensoiner you use... some tensioners seem to make even more noise, so i would go with taking links out, if thats what it needs.. look at the daralier ( cant spell ) and see how far you can tension the spring, and see how slack it is.. if the daralier can be pushed forward real easy them you should take some links out. poopipe
wrap black tape around your chainstay....as neet as you can so it dosnt look a mess philhaha. fag wrap an innertube round your chainstay and cover it in layer after layer of gaffer tape - make it as messy as possible - you also might want to fanny around with your tensioner/mech etc because that ought to be doing the job really

Echo-Scott
Hi, If I were you I wouldn't do the tensioners right up because the pads start to rub on your tyre and it gets hard 2 set up the pads, so if you get to that stage of doing the tensioners right up it would be a good idea to take a link out.Scott. old_boy_rider
If you still have the std RD on your Saracen 2.six - ditch it - its ok for beginners but there not enough tension for the bigger moves, if you still want gears change to a Sora short cage RD and shorten the chain by as much as you can - that should sort it.
