Chain Slap

my chain slaps the chain slay and makes a nasty noise and dents the frame (N)

ive put a lizard skin on it but can i get rid of it completly (Y)

please help i hate it and it is wearing down my chain . do i do i need to split the chain and take a couple of links off ordo i buy a chain tesoier or what i really want to get rid of it :angry:

either way mate.. depending on what the bike is and what tensoiner you use... some tensioners seem to make even more noise, so i would go with taking links out, if thats what it needs.. look at the daralier ( cant spell :( ) and see how far you can tension the spring, and see how slack it is.. if the daralier can be pushed forward real easy them you should take some links out.

wrap black tape around your chainstay....as neet as you can so it dosnt look a mess (Y)

wrap an innertube round your chainstay and cover it in layer after layer of gaffer tape - make it as messy as possible - you also might want to fanny around with your tensioner/mech etc because that ought to be doing the job really

Hi, If I were you I wouldn't do the tensioners right up because the pads start to rub on your tyre and it gets hard 2 set up the pads, so if you get to that stage of doing the tensioners right up it would be a good idea to take a link out.

buy rohloff chain tensioner and shorten your chain)) as simpson said

have you got a link fo the tensioner
