lnl-trials
Can anyone help me? My crank arms keep coming loose no matter how many times I tighten the bolt. Thanks,Brett
Willsey
hey i had this problem.. try extracting the crank and clean it all up, make sure it isnt too warn.. then grease the bottom bracket up ( for maintenance as you dont wana keep taking the crank on and off ) then put some Loctite around the bolt and tighten it up as much as you can... that solved my problem.. otherwise it might be the bottom bracket is too warn and it will make the arms become loose no matter what..hope i helped

Wright Pads
Red! You wont get them off so easy, you'll need to leave it for 24 hours to set hard
Willsey
hmm well i have always used blue.. works fine.. there might be a better colour but i didnt realise they made a difference.. so i would just say blue lol
Wright Pads
Blue comes as std on the bolts and is a thread locking compound but it does work lose. red just locks the thing in place.I found 5 mins epoxy is good on both tapers and bolts for really shagged cranks and last resort. lnl-trials
The different colours are the different strengths. But Ill use red.Thanks,Brett.
Wright Pads
Bret just make sure the bolt has a decne tallen head in there not rounded off along with the allen key, it will be harder to remove thats all and i don;t want you having a dud bolt in there first hand.If you can tap the crack on with a rubber or nylon mallet then torque it up tight with the bolt, leave over night
trialsrider123
if you have a sqare taper it might be working loose i had the same problem but i got a new crank (isis drive) and now i dont get any problems so its an expensve solution but a good
