roby James124
ive seen some bike have backward facing brakes like this one why are they this way please someone explain!!!!!Hi I have heard there are several reasons why this is like this:- 1. It looks good. (I thinks so) 2. It is meant to put less strain on the fork. 3. It bakes the brake work better. (But i cant work out how) These a reasons I have heard but don't quote me if they are wrong. Rob

RobNot quite sure how many of those I believe, but i can't see the brake working better. Possibly it keeps it out of harms way if front bumps go wrong? no idea to be honestMaybe its used because its.....*drumroll* ....... [oh my god]different?! :o [/oh my god]
Wright Pads
It makes the brake work bettera hel of a lot better, kinda almost like a 200mm mono trial that wet, it's on and only.Leeson do it as did Bigman and Koxx of corse
yoyoyo
It's because when you put on your front brake, the momentum/force on the forks is forward. If the brakes are on the front, they are being pushed off the fork because of the momentum. If they are mounted on the back, they are pushed onto the fork so they are stiffer and work better.I think thats the theory behind them.
