wayn3
I've got a 3rd gen Ipod, and when i pluged it into the computer a couple of weeks back it automatically wiped the ipod, of all my songs. Now when i plug my ipod in it shows as "Removable disc ( N)" in My computer, but doesn't show in itunes. Also if i try to right click on "Removable disc ( N)" nothing happens, so i cant format it .:@So now I've got a working (maybe) ipod with no songs on, has this happened to anyone else or does anyone now how to sort it out? Thanks wayne Edited August 3, 2006 by wayn3
JonCongreve
All i can think of is...go into iTunes when you have your iPod connected...click edit>preferences.I'm sure there's a few settings in there that might be able to sort this problem out.Hope this has helped

Gilman
When the iPod is plugged in, open iTunes and at the bottom of iTunes there is a image of an iPod click on it.When in there check the box marked "automatically update iPod".It probably is set on "enable disk", this may be the reason for your trubles.Try that, and resetting the iPod is also a good idea.Matt. Go on http://support.apple.com/specs/ then insert the ipods serial number (its on the back of the ipod) in a box on the right hand side. I think it will pretty much propt you to how to send it back from there. Edited August 5, 2006 by wayn3
