_Owen.
the closest game to trials is tony hawks american wasteland 2 thing. on a bmx you can do a bit of basic trials and some sweet gaps and stuff. but ye i agree would be mint if a proper game was made
moto_psycho
nah, just do it in real life, im slowly growing further apart from my ps2
Ash-Kennard
apart from us, and some bmx/mtbers who would actually buy it? not many people im surealthough having a level in THUG3 or whatever would be sickeningly cool Edited March 1, 2007 by ash-kennard
ilikeriding
I think i would be a bit lame to be honest, trials is a little too complicated and the gaps and stuff would have to be on a huge scale to be fun. I'd stick with mototrials on minclip, good thought though.
20inchsuperstar
nah, just do it in real life, im slowly growing further apart from my ps2me too, since its right next to me , ill give it some love and fiddle with its knobs...a trials game would be awesome! in american wasteland i could pedal hop a bmx and stuff, that was fun! a real game would be awesome! Will Fairburn
Yes i would agree it could be boring, or the gaps would have to be stupidly huge for it to be fun Credit for thinking about it - Good idea Cheers, Will
poopipe
I reckon it'd work quite well as a serious simulation (think BMX XXX but slower) but like someone said - only about 50 people would buy it, I've built a couple of games before and I've looked into trying it as a mod on unreal tournament 2003/2004 (they have a suitable vehicle physics engine) but basically I can't be arsed - i do enough of that shit at work. There's about a years work for a small development team (if you use UT2004) before you'd have anything worth distributing publically - Given that theres a several hundred thousand quid license fee for the engine and nobody would buy it there's just no future as a commercial project.Sad to say, it aint gonna happen any time soon. in the meantime, BMX XXX on gamecube and ps2 is really good and there's always the bmxs and mountainbikes in San Andreas (climbing bus shelters ***!! etc)
Fixed Pantsâ„¢
The reason why kids are fat these days is because there's a comp game for ever sport you can do, so why would you play a real sport when you can have just as much fun on a ps2 without the effort.Stupid gamers.Would like there to be a decent trials game but the problem is - it's too hands on and pretty much impossible to make a game from it. JackF
It would be so uber cool if they ever brought out a trials game for the Xbox 360 or whatever but the controls would be so complicated since how would you balance and all that because to make it like the real thing. But it is a really good idea. Jack.
Captain Scarlet
apart from us, and some bmx/mtbers who would actually buy it? not many people im surealthough having a level in THUG3 or whatever would be sickeningly coolWell thats like saying that only Skateboarders will buy the THPS games. It could be made and would be pretty sweet, I could see a lot of interest in a game of this type, but for production wise, I don't think trials is big enough. ruption0
yea i say it should be done after all both ps2 and xbox 360 controllers are pretty much the same u have have ur paddles or ur R2 L2 buttons as like or front and back brake, your x or a tap it to kick the pedals and hold it to pedal along something like that, but i think it needs to be done lol

Brian Bleech
in the meantime, BMX XXX on gamecube and ps2 is really good and there's always the bmxs and mountainbikes in San Andreas (climbing bus shelters ***!! etc)the balance line over the golden gate bridge is the best.there is also the north shore stuff at the bottom of the mountain which is fun. and the motorbike trials in the stadium (tuesday and sundays) which is good fun too. Bearded Midget
it would take extreme game creating to make the physics good but yh thats a good idea for a game. (the sales would sky rocket) but i garantee if they did they wud make it on ps3 when it comes out
