Handle Bar Help

right i think ive pinned my wrist problem down to my bars, ive been running race face diablous bars for about 9 months now and want to change.

ive just bought a pair of second hand monty 219 bars which i think are the same shape as the 221's.

i really like the shape but i think the rise might be too much, its a real struggle trying to tap and feels awkward to gap to front.

it might be a case of me just getting used to them but i thought id just try and see if anyone knows of anything with the same sweep as the montys but less rise?

possibly the zhi bars? just cant find what the geo of them is.

any help guys would be wicked.

tilting ther bars forward more will solve your problem! try it...I use monty bars too and i love the way they feel, really comfortable and not too wide once you're used too them!

Get a lower rise stem. I've just put on some Monty bars which i've extended and they do feel quite high, but they're more fun to ride with compared to my old set up, of flat bars and rubbsh try-all 150X30 stem. I've got some of those Raceface bars on my freeride bike, and they're not significantly lower than the monty's, i'd undestand if you'd gone from flats to Montys like me, but i'd suggest just giving yourself some time to get used to them. The sweep on them defenetly will help with shoulder pains, but just shift them forward like suggested to lower the rise a little.
