  1. I was hoping for the universal solution to how to not get hurt but thanks anyhow.
  2. Situation: you are on the back wheel ready to drop off. You are high enogh not to be able to just step off the bike but not so high that you have any reasonable amount of time to react. Your backwheel gets caught and you take a dive, frontwheel first. What do you do? How do you try to land?
  3. https://instagram.com/p/z9yMyTmsxJ/ Made myself a downtube protector from a leftover piece of pvc pipe. Quite satisfied with the result. Fits perfectly and I think it can handle a lot of punishment. A bit heavy at 80 grams. Would be possible to shave of some more weight but didn't bother. Also color matched as you can see.
  4. Revisited. What do you think?
  5. What would you recommend if I wanted to buy a trials bike for my son who is 8 years old and about 130 cm tall? Would it work to take any 20 inch mod and put a short stem and maybe shorter cranks or would it still be too big to be any fun?
  6. Nice to see some extreme wheelbarrowing. We actually have a guy here in Ă…land, Finland where I live who did extreme wheelbarrowing way back in 2006. Unfortunately the video is in swedish but the riding is good and I guess he represent more of an old school style of wheelbarrowing.
  7. Oh, and how about removing and fitting foam grips. Any tricks for that? Does water work?
  8. Maybe stupid question but better safe than sorry. I havet an echo tr stem with 2 bolts holding the bar in place. By other words the top can not be removed like on some stems. I have onza rip riser bar and have ordered a trialtech high riser. It looks like it's gonna be tight to remove old bar and even tighter getting the new one in because of the sharper bends on it. What is the trick? Can the stem be bent open without breaking or how is it done?
  9. Thanks all! I have been focusing a lot on balance the last 2 weeks or so and I can feel how it helps the rest of my ridning. Got a bit bored and wanted to play around more but I can see that I need more of that medicin. Have been trying to ride some upside down pallets which is annoyingly difficult. Actually have a clip of that too.
  10. Thank you! That was som really good feedback. I will definetely start focusing on those pointers you gave me. It is a zoo lynx. The bar is a onza rip riser and the stem is a echo tr 170mm 30degrees. I look into some new bars, is carbon the way to go or are they more fragile for a noob? Maybe some lighter pedals and tires when I am at it. By the way, i am 181 cm tall. Thanks again.
  11. Thanks, and another thing. I'm the only one riding where I live and this is the second mod bike I own, the other I owned back then. So I haven't been able to try around different bikes and wheelsizes. I think the bike feels ok but I haven't got much reference. How do you think my riding position on the bike looks? Is it possible to say?
  12. A short clip from todays training. Winter here in Finland where I live and my garage is pretty much the only place I can ride right now. Got my zoo lynx from Tarty about 2 months ago but did a year or two of riding in maybe -98 or so. I feel I progress, but want to hear how you train. 3 pallets is my max right now for climbing moves and even lower on some of them, like static hops. How do I build up to bigger heights? Is it just playing around or do I have to be more structured and do some specific training?
  13. Thanks for your replies! Sounds like you have about the same etics as me.
  14. I know there are different rules in different olrganizations if you are allowed to use your pedals and bashring/bashplate to get up obstacles. How about people not competing, do you think it is poor style to use anything but your tyres or is it ok?
