ill try tightenin the axel tomorrow night when i do a fresh grind n see if tht works but if i need new bearings can i get them from any bike shop and get them fitted n how much ruffly does it cost ?
-
iv lost the lead for my phone for the computer but iv got an onza t- comp i bought a few weeks ago from e-bay 2006-08 model i think with the standard rim, spokes, hub etc..
-
they are 2 seperate problems tha back wheel is rattly when i ride the whole back ov the bike shakes really fast and it isnt a smooth ride how can i fix this ?
-
my back wheel is tight and the bolts are tight round the hub but the wheel is wobbly i can shake it side to side n it rattles i think the bearings have gone it is annoying because my brake pads rub if i lean to 1 side or the other wen i ride can this be fixed or do i need a new wheel ?
and also my chain tugs r constantly coming loose the the wheel coming off centre even when i tighten then and the thread bolts for the back wheel really tight am i the only 1 with this problem ? i really wanna get back in to trials but im constantly maintainin the back wheel and its frustrating

after a days riding i have a sore neck, wrists and lower back.. i was wondering if riding trials works on muscle groups like for instance give you a stronger back or like cardio etc.. or just put strain on your body ??

ye well either way i feel like i invented my own product that could be in production in a few years lol
there are similar ones but non trials specific
-
ok is there any cheap alternatives just for now because i want to ride as soon as i can
for instance buying a BMX hub or rim
because my local bike shops dont stock trials gear and they try ripping you off
but they dont fool me
any alternatives ?
-
yep has happened to me and its nasty if u do it bad.
Tucking ur trousers in ur socks just looks stupid and the freewheel will still find a way to grip hold ov your leg.
its a pain in the ass to get it out when u cant turn the free wheel because the pedal is digging in ur leg when u turn it. happened to me.
Very embarracing i was on my park when i did it the worst i had a bike attached to my leg for about 20 minits.
the best solution would obviously to wear shorts but its gettin colder up here in Manchester so im wearing pants now, but i have learnt from my mistakes and i ride with 1 trouser leg up as u can see all the way through my video lol :
-
i feel now that if i dont do it right the wheel wont sit properly so ill just have to get a new hub cheers guys
-
yes i dont have the equipment so ill get a hub with smaller thread.
if anyone has a hub that will fit the Onza T-Pro dropout that had 36 holes for the spokes please add me on MSN boland-1@hotmail.com

ok i have got da bomb trials bike just bought a second hand onza t-pro frame for it but the thread on the wheel is to thick for the slots in the frame
should i get a drill and make the gaps a little wider so it fits ??

only 20-30 ? lmao u may all be rich but im doing an apprenticeship that pays £40 a week workin 8:00 till 4:30 and i need to feed myself and petrol costs for my scooter and i give my mum £10 a week towards child benefits because they stop when your 16 and i hardly have any money left !!
so i am trying to get by, doing the sport i love best (trials ) making it as easy as possible buying second hand bike and parts etc..
to u £20 aint much but if u were me it would take a while
and to make it even worse my mum wont let me sell stuff on e-bay because she doesnt trust it.
i got decent gloves thinking they will last me but obviously not
this sport is sooo dear but i aint gonna quit till im the best
-
yes people say get some better gloves but im not made of money !!
because i dent have the equipment to try and make the lever i designed so i decided to cut in to the lever with a knife like a few gashes in it grips a little better
but i think the main reason i have problems with the lever is because i have got blisters on both hands on my index finger right at the end where i hold the lever
im riding too much
-
erm not really i dont think its fairly hard rubber they could put there and its not gonna bee to thick lol
sorry my drawings quite bad
-
Get some decent gloves?
Or don't ride with gloves at all?
im not going to ride without gloves, blisters sting like hell and i cant keep buying new gloves every 2 weeks they dont come cheap !!
i ride so much i wear them down so fast
i might even make this brake idea myself and post it in a new topic in the future some time with some pics
and the glovs i have are the camoflage style "troy lee design" gloves
-
i tryed super gluing a peice or rubber grip that you put around pens but when the brake lever is thicker you notice the difference
-
Right i decided to design this because my finger was slipping on the brake lever because my gloves were wearing down fast.
But i think i have come up with a solution. Using the right materials i dont think the brake lever will become much weaker at all.
The picture i have drawn below is a brake lever with a peice of metal cut out where your finger would go and replaced with a peice of rubber, to give you a much more stronger grip on the lever. p.s it isnt the best of pictures i did it on paint ....
CLICK THE PICTURE TO ENLARGE !!
also for the price of just a peice of metal the people who make them could like pimp them up abit
and if they were to be sold there could be a few sets of spare rubber parts for wear after time
