  1. Awesome. Like the socks that match the bike, nice.

I always thought that trials looked wrong on a full susser but Chris makes it look right and easy. Some massive lines and speed.

  2. Liar, that won't be your last vid (hopefully).

I'll get a bit of practice in for when you return to Swansea - no selling your bike or anything stupid like that.

    Good vid by the way.

  3. awesome cranks and the warrenty does work. I've had a pair of twisted ones changed and my friend snapped a pair which i think he changed. Don't round the tapers or threads and they should change them although i doubt you'd ever need to. They do flex more than other cranks but feel lovely and look gorgeous with a cloud 9 bash. Try a bike with some on if you can. Always the best way

  4. Very cool vid. Good to see worcester being ridden well. Loved the tyre tap thing on the wooden rail by sabrina bridge. Didn't realise it was 4 years old, should read the topic

  5. I think, and I may need some official citation here, Chris Akrigg could be just about the coolest human being on the planet

I actually laughed all the way through that

    Rich

    Yeah.

Of all the stupid things to do on a bike, Akrigg makes them all look sane.

Trials bikes are all going to be 23" frames with seats soon.

  6. Loved the vids, 1st one seemed better but could be because the music fitted the atmosphere so well. Makes me want to get back riding alothough that won't be happening for a while. Awesome riding in them, fair play Mike. The rail line was one that stuck in my head although it was all good.

Good to see you remember to fall off now and again as well, looked like it could have been a lot worse.

  7. Nice looking ride (still a shame about the Control - what happened to it? Skip?).

Best get myself fixed if there's going to be more riders about. Or try Dave Kerr (Dave33 on here) as he's in Carmarthen and would be able to show you around Swansea as well, not to mention the natural bits.

  8. I really like TRA on this Caelifera, seems to have the style back he had on the Echo's etc, he seemed to loose his flicky fun side when he started to ride for Koxx (it was still f**king massive riding thou)

Liked this video alot, really good stuff :)

I was thinking that, he seems to have more fun on a bike which gives him a better, more relaxed riding style. He seems to play with stuff more and not take it as seriously. Awesome vid!

  9. I'm actually getting more tempted by a streetyish 26. I think I'd be after a 04 contro/pure/zebdi mix but bade for a 6'4" person. I was thinking something like 1075/383/+20/73 (awaits slating for calling this streety) but having ridden a zebdi (well 2) for about 3 years I found they were just too short and ruined my back even with a 120 stem on - I think mine measures about 1040 with Cannondale P-bone forks.

I then moved onto an 04 Control long which didn't feel that long to me even with the 120 stem on. I now have an 07 A1 long which measures about 1100 but I could still bunnyhop with relative ease (think I managed over 3.5"). The main thing I miss is the steeper head angle and the feeling it gives, it just seems to make the bike feel more fun - but then again my memory is probably going now.

I think my best bet is Marino as no one else is going to want a stupidly long streetish bike as I just fancy trying a cross between the Control and the Zebdi and A1.

Anyway, at the moment I'm just dreaming as I won't be on a bike for another yearish.

  10. Whilst riding on Sunday afternoon I decided to try a gap. Larger than I usually would but not massive by todays standards, probably about 7.5' and thought the worst outcome would be a puncture.

Ended up bottling slightly and landing the front wheel on the opposite side and putting my left foot down on the top of the 6" step. Thought Id got away with it well, then my heel carried on going on down and my weight went forwards.

Didn't even fall over but stepped off the bike and thought something is wrong.

Went to casuality and they suspected a tear. Gave me an appointment for fracture clinic on Monday where they re-examined me and advised that I had an op on it which they hoped would be on the same day.

Turned out the op was on Tuesday and I'm now in a cast for 6 weeks (no weight bearing) then gradual weight bearing with no exercise on it for a year.

Watch out where you put your feet on landing!!

I can't believe that something so simple can cause so many problems.

    Cheers,

    Jamie

  11. Nice, someone's been practicing. Unlike me who has been done no riding pretty much since you went back to north wales. I'll try and get out soon weather and littleun permitting.

  12. Taps are still plenty possible. I'm fairly rubbish at them, but Matt Burrows tapped my 24 about 47/48 the other day. Thats with riser and stuff.

Personally I can get higher with a bunny hop, but if I need to be able to stop on top of the up, i.e. up to gap or up to drop kinda moves then I prefer a tap.

I remember matt used to tap bunny hop his Leeson, seemed to work pretty well and is worth trying but does require commitment (I've tried and it also works on a long Adamant A1).
