  1. Hey, Welcome.

Any information on his bike would be VERY useful.

If you end up getting it and he has a different wheel size he will have to end up get everything else apart from the frame!

Yeah, sorta echo'ing what Joe said, find out if bike is the smalled wheeled type (20Inch wheeled) of trials bike or the larger wheeled sizes of 24" and 26" ect ect.

Also, do you know if the website is reliable?

As for the price - its extremely cheap, to say its brand new, at other websites like www.tartybikes.co.uk it can cost £330.

Ive had a quick go on one also, it felt very nice to ride and would suspect your boyfriend will love it :)

  2. Really not somewhere to try saving weight. Only thing you could do without compromising reliability is remove any brake mounts you're not using (If it's a disk and V fork and you only use a disk for example) or drill the dropouts if they're plates. Also, as soon as you leave an opening in the paintwork the fork will rust, so it'll need painting after drilling.

You can save way more weight by getting an aluminium fork, but I trust my steel Onza fork a lot more than an aluminium fork, even though I could save almost 400g over the current fork by fitting a trialtech one...

Cheers for that, good depth of detail. Wont consider drilling the forks then, but will consider it on my frame which is an 06' T Pro frame, any specific places to drill on the frame? Ive been told the headtube and where the seat post would be on T'vees and T'birds, where they have welded the onza logo over the hole.

    Any other suggestions?

  3. Go down in stages with files if you know what i mean e.g harsh, medium, light, lighter then use sand paper. If i was you i would just buy a new rim or run it until the grind is dead.

That will take longggggggggggggg. Forget that. Could i just use a sander ?

Nah, not spending money when theres alternatives. Grind will be dead soon enough hopefully.

  4. Mateeeyy :).

I'd say either go Green, somehow get some replacement stickers for the frame so it looks sweet, then go for parts like, green brake clamps, green bolts ect just to give it that uniqueness :)

If not Green, then Blue would suit it well or Purple as that would contrast nicely, but problem being it can sometimes be difficult to gain certain coloured parts. Just look around and see what you can see.

Try Tartybikes and go from there :)

  5. Hi i have a rear onza hub and when i was out riding today it started making weird noises then it was really hard to move the wheel it can move its really stiff.

Has this happened to anyone else and how do i fix it

    Kieran

There will be a nut at the edge of your frame on the inside next to the hub, that will adjust the bearing tightness of the hub, could try loosening the bearings.

Make sure your pads aint rubbing either, you never know lol.

  6. Right, just got my BB7 sorted to tighten my allen key bolt on my wheel to tighten and cleanly snap it off.

Now there is a little bit of metal to grab on to with some pliers but that is not the question.

If i get the bolt out, can i interchange the bolts for a skewer?

EG: will it just swap straight over?

    Thankss :D
